Just thought I'd show you guys what Ive been up to this weekend.

Bought this ute to replace my XG. It mainly gets used to cart the dirt bikes around on weekends so I dont plan to lower it and add wheels or anything.

I finished converting it to manual a last wednesday and had extractors and a 3 inch exhaust fitted a few weeks ago.

I started fitting snort's new budget supercharger kit yesterday. It uses a M112 supercharger from an SVT lightning or mustang, I cant remember which. It mounts onto an adapter plate which mounts onto the intake runners which he has had cast up. He has made it so the throttle body mounts close to the standard position so the standard throttle and cruise cables can be used.

I just need to mount the T/B, new thermostat housing, the new belt and some vac lines and it should be finished and running tonight but Ill still need to have it flash tuned and fit a 2 bar map sensor so it doesnt flip out when it sees boost. Ive got some 42lb injectors to go in once a tune is organised and an Bosch 023 pump to go in as well if needed.

I got the lot cheap because it was one of his development kits.

Pump, charger, manifold, new 023 pump and rising rate reg, new belt, new pulley to help wrap the belt around the charger, all the fittings and brackets etc.

He is planning on selling the kit minus the supercharger so people can get their own and save a few $$ as they are only available 2nd hand. His complete new kits will be provided with a different newer magnason supercharger which is a better and more compact unit. These also fit on top of his water to air intercooler and clear the bonnet whereas the SVT charger doesnt fit.

It runs!

A quick stab of the throttle in neutral and it hits the boost cut and the ECU turns off. :(

Need to get a tune sorted asap.

good stuff dan... that kit looks alot cleaner that the other prototypes ive seen...any idea if the kits will look like yours or have a lot of excess metal on the brackets? (thats for multi fit superchargers i assume?)

They would all look like mine. The adapter plate will be cut in the same shape as the blower. They are pretty fussy about making things look nice.

It would be a lot neater with the magnason too, they are heaps smaller than the SVT item. The back half of the SVT charger is wasted space because they made them to suit the manifolds.

I already cant wait to upgrade :P

Pretty cool having the standard airbo in place as well, maybe ditch it for those aftermarket units or just just the front of it and do a stainless 3 inch piping tp suit to get it to breath abit more better.

Mate, that is bloody wicked!! I think i now have something different to consider now if i ever go down the boosted path. Will be interesting to see how much torque it puts out when tuned
