Just because Im bored I thought I would put some pics up of my new acquisition.
I got hit by a car a few weeks ago on my way to work and my sv650 was written off so I bought this to get to the train station and back. It was $1200, delivered to my door. It needs brakes and a tailpipe then it should pass a rwc. The body is pretty straight but the interior needs a clean pretty bad. Ill get onto it once the pain in my chest and back goes away.

yeah.. nice and straight body on the ef... just steam clean the carpet.. throw in some fairmont ghia door trims and fairmont leather/velour seats..

The fairlane wasnt for sale. The EF is pretty good bodywise for the price. There is 1 or 2 shopping trolley dents, a small non shopping trolley dint on the back passenger door and the rear bar hangs wrong in the corner that you can see in the photos. Other than that its pretty good. The colour hides imperfections well. No real plans yet other than get it rwc and drive it to the station. It will get a the usual headunit swap, lowered suspension and better hubcaps. Ill fit my ECU then decide what to from there. This is how an $800 helmet looks after hitting a tow bar at 50k's. 
This is what the bike looks like. Its been written off and the cheque was deposited into my account today.

ouch!!!
the car looks great for $1200 mechanicals good too? the interior is so easy to fix up swap out ripped seats in 20min.

well filthy stained seats... same thing easy swap and cheap as for gli seats if they don't clean up ok

Mechanically the car seems good.
I put new front brakes and a new radiator in on the weekend. Once I put a tailpipe on it should be ready for a rwc. After thats done Ill do the usual servicing and change the coil pack and leads then Ill suss out fitting the microtech. |
