and for some reason on the lower half of my heater box there was black silicon on the seat under the screws.is that normal?

but why and what would the screws leak? and will i have too get my air con re-done after i put it all back together?

i dont know where the screws are i just thought heater box leaking water + silicone on the screws maybe it would be to seal the screws properly so water doesnt leak lol,

lmaooooo trust me you wouldnt just open the box to put silicon.bcos water doesnt flow in the box flows through the heater core which looks like a radiator.and for all the head aches you wouldnt want to just put silicon.i reckon it must of been opend before.i dont know.trips me out.i think this is why my old motor died.it kept lossing water and i didnt know where then water pump seized then oil pressure started to drop.

It was defiantly your heater core leaking .look at it . Covered in rust stains .
Post a pic up of these screws with silicon.

Yes will need aircon re-gassed

ive got a problem.ive got the dash just its not screwd in and ive got all my conections done and for some reason all the lights in the car are acting funny like from lights wont work when i turn the knob interior light stays on,rear dimister just comes on.all ive got in at the moment is heater box which is done and just sat the dash in the car and connected plugs.... need help asap!!!!!!!!

u didn't connect up the earth did you ? It's under the crash pad, on the drivers side .

I did the same thing . Also u can hear the bcm ticking

U connect it under the crash pad .
The earth wire will be under the dash . Near steering wheel .mine was shorter cos I used a different loom and had to extend it .

yeah lmaoo i worked it out.but for soem reason my earth is under the plastic that covers the tweeters lol too dark so couldnt get it finished.will be done in morning.was spewing but all well on more day without driving it wont harm me lmaoo

for some reason and i think its the same reason my cruise control wont set but my back breaks wont light up unless i press the barkes till its nearly touching the floor? how do i fix these problems?
