When will the car hit the streets Dave? Should be good with the IRS in it too. What mufflers did you go for your dual setup or have you just got the pipes on so far? cheers, mark

Can't wait to see this thing fly, but October  :(.

So is the V8 Motor stock? and your running LPG through it?

Let me know when the headgasket goes :P, because you might wanna get those valve seats checked out to make sure they are ok :P.

Are you for real? How long do you think it takes to build a car? It's not on a production line, it's being built in spare time, like almost all projects. And have you paid any attention to how much work will be done? IRS isn't exactly a bolt-in affair, and there's way more than that on the to-do list.

And as for LPG, I thrashed the daylights out of my stock 165kw 5L for four years while burning the stuff. Several track days (Wakefield, Oran, Mallalah) with the temp gauge well over to the right, 10,500km in three weeks to Perth and back, plus the daily commute and when I pulled the heads off to fit a ported set, there was nothing wrong with it. No smoke, good oil pressure and still had full compression; it made 126rwkw on the dyno (about right for a stocker and pretty good for one on mixer ring LPG). It is us that are laughing at you I'm afraid.

For the first paragraph, no comment :P

As for the LPG thing, when I find it in the 6 cylinder thread, have a read of it , Dave also got me out of a fair bit of trouble when I broke the timing guide. Just persist and read the thread, the lpg bit is a fair way in, although I'm not argueing that it won't reduce power or anything like that, I just like even my small stuff to be in good condition, I wasn't picking a fight :P.

As for the time to build it, I have personally never built a car to what dave's building it to, I just have general to advanced knowledge on a few commonbore's and the Ford EA-ED's. Hope that clear's something up.

Don't worry about the engine, it has been running on LPG for ages, it is the V8 out of the LTD.

Dave, that looks bodgy as, and I LOVE it. Nothing quite like DIY modding with bracket strips.

Will be good to see the final fabricated piece.
