Not bad power dude, oh one little improvement I found on mine was changing the ef ducting to ba/Bf noticeable diff into a kn pod in box

Yeah the power curve after the tune was a hell of a lot better and the AFR was improved a lot. Wasn't just dumping fuel on WOT.

Good tip on the air box duct too, I actually changed mine around to the larger xr6 snorkel and this increased a bit of air flow with a modded k&n pod filter in the box.

So after some great help from the guys on here I decided to run a different amp.

I was originally50 running some cheapy from ebay which did not do the job.

I upgraded the front speakers ages ago.

Installed some 6x9's in the back and a 12" sub.

The 6x9's are being powered off a 4 channel amp and the sub off a mono block. Didn't worry bout the front speakers they just run off the headunit.

New mono block:

Installed, minus the sub:

So here we go I have all the basics for a turbo setup ! 8-)

Image

Started with a hole in the side of the sump for the oil return line. Will get a picture of it later on.

So the return line pipe is now in the side of the sump.

It sits above the baffle plate and has a slight downward angle so that oil falls back into the sump.

We started out by punching a hole in the metal and slowly making the hole bigger and bigger by knocking it with sockets. It gradually gets larger and leaves a lip of metal facing into the sump.

From here we cut a thread into the sump metal and a thread on the return pipe.

The return pipe has a cap on the end of the pipe so the car can still be driven if need be.

Put it into the sump and placed some Permatex thread sealant on it.

I bet it well be.
I would like to do something like that myself But I have LPG on mine so I think I will just do engine upgrade and work more on the body. I have a few plans in mind, with luck it might make it stand out a bit

Anyway keep up the good work. And take care

So next thing to do is add the new fuel pump in. We went for a Walbro 255 and it fit in really well, no need to modify the cradle or anything.

When I took the car for a run it felt so much better, the idle was nice and smooth and the engine didn't feel starved of petrol.

Fitting up the rising rate fuel regulator and we need some connectors for the hoses. My old man got talking to some people at the shop and they asked why we were still leaving the fuel reg in when we were installing a rising rate reg.

So we have decided to take out the fuel reg and just use the rising rate reg, this was confirmed by one of the tuners near the shop who demonstrated the setup on a skyline.

Anyway pics !

Love the colour of those connectors ! So once this is connected up we will run the car set base idle and see how it runs...

Haha thanks mate 8-)

More working has been going on, the fuel reg lines are hooked up and the 29lb injectors went in.

Started the car up and jesus it ran rich !! We played around with the base idle on the fuel reg to try and smooth it out a bit which seemed to work. Although it was in no state to take it or a drive.

So with the fuel management side of things I was lucky enough to buy some parts off Paul (SWC).
Got the rising rate regulator, 29lbs injectors and FMU.

I decided to use the rising rate regulator and have the injectors tested and cleaned as Paul wasn't sure of the quality.

Worked out well because they were a set of 8 injectors and two were stuffed, we ended up luckily with 6 good phones, PHEW !

The rising rate regulator connected up...

Replace the standard fuel regulator on the fuel rail with the connector that feeds back to the rising rate reg...

Connected up the oil sender unit to the oil feed line that screws into the side of the block.

Image

Rough idea on how it fits in there...

Image

When we connected the braided oil feed line it was waaay too long and came out past the edge of the car. Tried to set it up so that it would fit nicely to the turbo but kept getting sharp bends in the line. Have to either get another line or have this one trimmed.
