Thanks 92EBFAIRMONT I also bought a set of 16" FTR after I had the car for about 6 months or so and ran those before I bought these Typhoon ones, I like these ones better in appearance but the FTR's were a bit smoother.

After awhile I decided to paint that dull grey rocker cover with some blue VHT paint.

I was impressed with how it came up for only a simple can of spray paint.

Hate to repeat myself, but that also looks muuuch better. And yeah I'm sure the FTR's were smoother, having bigger rims usually sacrifices ride quality. But it's worth it!

Thanks 92EBFAIRMONT :D
I have kept the engine bay fairly clean recently and painted up a few other things, once I work through other pictures I'll post up those up. Keep an eye out for them.
Yeah exactly it's appearance over comfort, but nothing too drastic.

Thanks I_Love_My_Fords ! I reckon it's worth while I painted mine in some VHT extractor paint in like a silvery colour. My word of advice is, prep the surface well, give it a sanding, clean em down, degrease and dry. Then coat the s**t out of them with a good few coats. I think I put about 4 coats on, its stuck on there pretty well, the only part that's wearing is around the lower part of the extractor that is where it is exsposed to the ground anyway.
And they are mighty stinky when you first run the car :P Let them heat up for a bit and take it for a drive.

No worries :) Give it a shot and post up what you ended up with, yeah create a build thread too. Always fun to see what other people have done to their cars.

Here is a quick video of what the new extractors, cat and exhaust sounded like before I removed the rear muffler.

Some pictures of when the car had the FTR rims on and was cleaned up.

Also tried out something different with the pipping from the air box to throttle body, made up some pvc pipe and painted it chrome silver, it came up well but after awhile some of the paint started to peel from the top of the pipe which was just touching the insulation on the inside of the bonnet...so got rid of that idea.

Decided to run some hectick stockies on the back for a laugh, painted them up and ran them for about 2 months then got sick of them cause they simply don't match those rims up front hahaha.
Also got the tint done sometime during then so that the car didn't get so damn warm in the sun and looked better than the factory see through windows.

Image

Here is a picture without the tint on to see the difference.

Bogan spec!! Aside from that it looks good with the tint, and actually looks really good with the FTR's too.

Hahaha yeah ! Serious bogan spec ! :D
I was really happy with the tint on it came up a treat. My old man started ripping the front end suspension today and replacing a whole lot of stuff there...

- Lowered shocks
- All front bushings with nolathane ones
- New ball joints n tie road ends
- Slotted rotors and ebc green stuff pads
-Already have a whiteline 30mm sway bar there too.

So should be a treat with it all replaced as the front just feels too sloppy at the moment.
