Looking good. Don't put mesh in the front bar. Let it hang out. It's not even that noticeable unless ppl actualy look down at ur front bar. It's funny some ppl have to look twice at my car when it doses around town :P

Not long to go now :D

Wow really ? I thought it would have been pretty obvious, well I might also paint the lower half black. Don't want to much of the wrong attention with it.

Are you getting it mod plated? If so it shouldn't really matter, don't paint the cooler. It looks too good silver and brand new :) maybe just mesh is until its engineered or whatever ;)

I wouldn't mind getting it mod platted, not quite sure where to start with it though and if it will all pass :?
How did you manage to get yours and how much did it cost to do ?

I do like the nice shiny look of the cooler :D Maybe just the mesh is the way to go.

Got some of the silicon joiners and pipe onto the intercooler today. Steps down from a 3" to 2.5" pipe as all the pipping will be at 3" any larger and it will make some areas harder to fit properly.

All just fits behind the front bumper nicely 8-)

I live in Queensland, mod plates are easy to obtain cost me 300 bucks and all he required was there to be no screamer pipe and bov not plumbed to atmosphere. Mine was Atmo but he thought the vac line was the plumb back section haha.

I believe in Victoria it's harder to get your car engineered. I've heard of emissions testing being required and it being a really costly exercise. I'm sure someone on here can fill you in on it..

Wow !!! That is easy as to sort out in Queensland, sounds like you had someone easy to pass it as well.

Yep that's exatcly what I have heard too, seems like an absolute pain in the a** to sort it out in Victoria :(

Forgot to mention that before the pipes came off the turbo and throttle body we started the car up to see how the new fuel reg was working. After setting the base pressure to around 32psi, my god it preforms so much better ! The engine at idle is not nearly as rough as before and seems to be holding a very steady pressure. Well worth the money for it.

hahaha make a weekend trip out of the whole thing, wonder if it would work :P
I reckon another issue would be the wholes in the cars body now for the cooler pipping.

More work on the pipping today, the hardest parts are basically done ! They now run around the right side of the car and come up through where the airbox was.

Image

The silicon bends have really made all this work well as it allows for the pipe to be pushed around a lot more than if it was just bent steel pipe.

The worry is over as the two pipes clear the abs 8-)

Image

Now it's time to put some pipping in the engine bay... Blue pipe to TB, black pipe to the turbo.

Nice, far out those silicon bends wouldn't of been cheap. I bought a 90 degree 2.5inch silicon hose and cost me like 50 something dollars!

Spot on Corbin, they weren't cheap
Dad bought them while I was at work and then I looked receipt, shocked at the prices but definitely worth it though. Better transfer some money to his account tomorrow :D

Awesome job so far dude, loving the way this is coming together 8-)

That cooler install turned out nice! I was thinking you might be very limited with room getting 2 pipes up through the wheel arch, you made it look easy lol

Thanks mate :D Not much longer to go now.

I was really worried with the spacing of the pipe, but with my dads careful eye he managed to fit everything in. Would have been a lot harder if we had an ef with the raised abs unit.
