I decided that the car needed a new dizzy cap, so I purchased one of eBay.

Whilst doing this decided to paint the lower part of the intake manifold...

Decided to replace the EL taillights as they just weren't matching the look of the car any more...

What they were...

I reckon it looks so much cleaner with the EF taillights, matches the silver properly.

So with a nice bit of sun finally out it was time to replace the rear rotors and pads.
Upgraded with some slotted RDA rotors and EBC Ultimax (black)

Took it for a little run to start wearing in the brakes and they do feel better than standard stuff.
Previous to this I had upgraded the fronts to slotted rotors and EBC Green stuff and they work really well !

I got inspired by the interior look of the EL GT and decided to paint up part of the dash surround. I just cleaned it up and used some Matte Black Vinyl Paint.

It adds a bit more contrast inside but doesn't look too overpowering against the grey.

Nice work dude, progress is coming along nicely! I think an AU momo, EL GT or even a black EF/EL/AU XR steering wheel and black airbag would set that interior off nicely 8-)

External trans cooler's are a definitely must for these cars, I run my inline with the factory radiator cooler and it works fine too. Good move with the EF tail lights, the orange on the EL ones kills the look I reckon. Looks much cleaner now!

Keep up the good work

Thanks mate :D I agree a black leather steering wheel would set it off perfectly ! However most decent ones these days cost so much.
The steering wheel in it now is a leather one and it feels so much better than standard, not as fat as the standard one so it feels more comfortable.

Yeah I'm really happy with the trans cooler, helps it along nicely and the tail lights were a must, especially against the silver colour.

Now that I have more money coming in the mods have progressed along and I have some nice new items coming through the post :D

So after many months of collecting every bit of the body kit (pretty much each peice was from a different person) I went and had it painted.

When it was all done I went to the shop and fitted it up with the bloke that did the work.

I was so happy with how it turned out ! It makes it look like a different car 8-)

So after running standard shocks on the front with lowered springs I decided it was time to try some shorter shocks to suit the springs.

Image

Whilst the shock and springs were out we decided to replace the front bushings, ball joints and tie rods...

Felt a little firmer up front as most of the other bushings where damn old.

Moving along with the bushings the back end felt a bit off so it was time to replace the pivot busing on the watts link.

Could definitely a difference once this was replace, didn't seem as bouncy as before.
