Im not TOO worried about it, I was going to get a reco in the next year anyway but it would be nice to have it semi-reliable.

Dont let the movement of coolant fool you. Did you clean the radiator?? If you did then you probably dis-lodged the gunk, and half the core is now blocked. Resulting in the overheating. Same thing happened to me, but i just removed it to do some other things, put it back in ,and it is running way to hot...

Replace it with a new one (ally and plastic) and you be laughing.....A shroud is a must for an engine drive fan, all fans for that matter.....
