Awesome! Thanks!

And hell yeah, I saw them and thought they would go nicely on my car. Can't wait to get them! Will upload pics of all the new stuff that's happening this week/next week

Alright so I've taken a few pics for you.. apologies in advance for the quality as they're just from my iPhone (haven't got my good camera at the moment..) but here goes:

This is what my lights look like:

Image

In order to swap the globes out, all you have to do is use a small screwdriver to pop out the clips...

Image
Image

Which reveals the light globe and holder.

Image

Simply pull out the old globe, replace with a T10 LED and test to make sure you've put it in the right way. If it doesn't work, just turn it around. Also because mine were cheapo eBay ones, one or two of them had to be fiddled with until they sat just in the right spot, otherwise they only worked intermittently.

Finally, just clip the plastic cover back into place.

Image

The final result.. looks better IRL, but night + phone camera = fail

Image
Image

And the number plate lights (replacement instructions in owners manual, basically the housing just pops out with a screwdriver)

Image

And there you go!

Wow, looks really good Jesse! Thanks for the tutorial too haha, I had a quick look today at how I'd put the new bulbs in, wasn't too sure though - thanks for that though!

Also my centre dome is different to yours - just the cheapo standard dome :( I think it uses a different globe too, but I've accounted for that so should be all good.

Also, YOU HAVE A SUNROOF?
Now that, is maaad.

No worries :)
Yeah I wondered if the lights might be a bit different. But just measure the length of the festoon globe and you can order them pretty cheap on eBay, I think all up I paid less than $5 for all mine.

I love the sunroof! It was on my wish-list when I was looking for the car, and I was stoked to actually find one haha. It really sets the whole thing off nicely I think!

Yeah I've ended up ordering the new globes, now the hard part, waiting for them to come :P

I haven't seen many FG's with sunroof's - my friend wants to get one for his FG. Does Ford offer it as an option or is it aftermarket?

Love the lights!! Looking very nice :)

Also to answer your question about the sunroof, mine was done by the dealer not in the factory, so I'm not sure if they offered it as an option. It's not in the owners manual though, so I assume not.

Mine was done by Prestige Sunroofs in Burwood (they did the GPS at the same time too), and it's a Hollandia 700 Series. No idea how much it would cost though, I have some of the original paperwork for it but because it was done through the dealer I don't have the invoice.

Hi, nice car you have there,
How'd you go with removing the towbar?
Would you be able to tell me what size the bolts are as I'm actually trying to fit one to my car.
Is yours a standard or heavy duty,
Thanks

Hi, Thanks :D

So far, have not removed the towbar. Asked my mechanic to do it but he didn't have time when I took it for a service - told me to go to a panel beater..

Not to sure on the size of the bolts, and it is a heavy duty tow bar

Dean

Not a problem,
When you do eventually remove it want to sell it?
I've only got the standard one at the moment,

What are the next mods install for your car?

Sure, I'd be happy to sell it once I get it removed! Was hoping someone would want it lol, otherwise I was just gonna keep it in the garage sitting around.

Next mods for the car is to still get the towbar removed, different garnish, and also looking into getting some FG XR6 shocks and springs.

I found out yesterday, because my car was an ex council car, apparently they put higher springs on it to suit the job - which makes sense because my car looks higher than any other FG I've seen lol.

So if I can score some XR6 springs for a sensible price, I'd be happy with them!
