All good FordAUte!! And yeah! Real busy! Ughh, it was marked pretty bad on the left side/passenger side of the car, especially the front, but back and drivers side not too bad, doesn't stick out much though - I can deal with it and thanks heaps Yeah I'm actually extremely happy with the height, not too low, and a considerable difference in looks and probably handling too - feels like a really nice sports boat with all the moves now hahaaha |

when installing the fog lamps. was it just a case of breaking off the cover and clipping the fog lights in? did u need any adaptors or anything?
also where did u get the fog lights from. i want to install some in my 2008 falcon ute |

Would have to say the rear lights and boot lip are the best mods on these cars- just dresses them up so much better.
Did you get the bushes done with the rest of the suspension? I dare say most of the bushes would still be fine with the age of the car, but some like to put nolethane (stiffer material) bushes in which improves handling a bit. Unless you have been towing, going offroad or doing all day burnouts, your diff bushes should be fine. Regarding your exhaust, size it to the power you want to make. Going too big is slightly better than too small, but going just right trumps either. 2.5 inch is a good option for mild to medium applications. A good flowing cat with about 200 cpsi is a must, as gas velocity is the name of the game here and a high cpsi cat (400) strangles velocity. Muffler choice also plays a part- you can go cheap, like anything else, but they wont be as good. Make sure you get two of them. Don't go with one big straight thru like I did on my old AU- that just pisses the EPA off. Only go twin exhaust if you are going to turbo it. An NA 4.0 doesn't crank enough gas to justify anything over a 3 inch. Remember a twin 2.25 will flow more than a 3 inch (source: APS http://www.airpowersystems.com/falcon/e ... xhaust.htm). If flow is too high for demand, velocity will suffer. You want good velocity in the headers and after the cat to assist scavenging in the cylinders.

There you are able to screw them into the holders. There is no wiring already setup, so you will need your own wiring - I got The One Stop Shop Australia (Tossa) to do that part for me: they wired the fog lights up to an on/off switch that I can always keep on - and the fog lights will turn on only if the headlights actually turn on (this works with the auto on feature too) I got the fog lights from ebay here: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Ford-Falcon- ... 5ae8e88ff4 Grimketel wrote: Would have to say the rear lights and boot lip are the best mods on these cars- just dresses them up so much better. Going too big is slightly better than too small, but going just right trumps either. Agreed Grimketel! Makes a big difference imo. No, my bushings weren't done with the rest of the suspension - although I think I might need to get them done soon with the nolethane that you have mentioned. I believe my car was driven offroad and towed things with it's previous owner - it might be time to replace the bushings. As for the exhaust, thanks for all the info! I've decided that I want something that isn't too loud as my car doesn't seem like it's too sporty - the first option you've said sounds pretty good. Also another question - I'm thinking about upgrading my speakers in my car - does anyone know what size speakers are in the doors? Also, is it an easy job? |

Not sure on the FG's, although I was surprised to find 7x5's in the AU when I did those. Imagine my shock, since I had bought 7x9's before checking... uh oh...
Ford being Ford they probably are still 7x5's from factory despite there being eight years between them... They don't like to change things they don't have to.
