At the end of the day it is exactly the same as a $600 one... It's more the filter than the air box itself that will help airflow and keep any crap from getting into your engine Thanks heaps 2dads! Definitely keen on getting one So does the original snorkel stay on and attached like shown in the photo? I'm guessing it provides more air into the covered off area if that makes sense? drewh wrote: Air systems and extractors are legal for P players. Don't let it worry you.... (unless different in VIC?). I'll probably even do my cam. Technically its an "engine modification that enhances performance" but how they gonna know? Unless its mega lumpy and the copper knows about cars. In saying that, us ford drivers are generally pretty sensible. Cops shouldn't worry you Hrmm apparently a friend has just told me it's not legal for P platers in Vic, but in saying that he's had one for ages and hasn't ever been told off for it. And true haha, the only time I've been pulled over was a few days after I got my car, was still completely stock and only got pulled over because I had no plates on it and had a temporary registration haha |

So long as it makes my car go vroom vroom |

I'll put my airbox in this afternoon and have a video up by tomorrow *fingers crossed* so that you can get an idea of what the cheaper ebay versions sound and look like

And I've thought about getting a bigmouth, but I'm a tad worried about all the water that can get through the grill and into the mouth :/ 2dads wrote: I'll put my airbox in this afternoon and have a video up by tomorrow *fingers crossed* so that you can get an idea of what the cheaper ebay versions sound and look like Ooooo, did you end up fitting it 2dads? |

Hey guys!
So yesterday I received my cold air intake in the mail and decided to get a friend around to give me a hand to fit it! Install was pretty easy, although the fitting was a bit of a struggle - the air-conditioning hose/pipe on the right gets in the way but it can be worked around. The pod filter is quite big, one of the bigger ones I've seen, and the sound it makes is AMAZING. A very deep growl/groan to it. Definitely worth the money imo. Here are some pics: |

Looking good man, I'm aiming to do that to my BA Falcon eventually, just got other things to do first.
Sound good compared to stock intake? You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post. |

Apparently you gotta wait for the ecu to adjust/correct to it, and a few people have told me to disconnect the battery for 20 mins, then reconnect it and start the car and let it run for 5 mins to reset the ecu Even after that I doubt it'll make much difference |

Hey Guys,
Recently I am starting to notice my cars diff and/or transmission clunking more than usual, it can be felt and heard really badly sometimes, other times not so much. What could be the problem? I'm thinking about getting my mechanic to check it out at my next service - thinking it might be the transmission fluid or differential fluid? Apparently though the transmission fluid is sealed and doesn't need to be changed? Any ideas? Also, got a new job, so hopefully looking to do some more stuff to the car with a better income Thanks |

What could be the problem? Thanks Is it a clunky when the car changes gears? Or just when you speed up or slow down? I sometimes get a bit of a clunk when I speed up or slow down (no noise, just a jolt) From what I've read it's not major unless it's a really big jolt or it makes an audible noise |

Wasn't too bad yesterday though, still rather it not do it at all |
