Now featuring crome extractors + full 2.5" exhast. Sounds pretty awesome, nice crackle when planted.

Now to poke in the new engine.

That front end looks hot as in black! Will be good to see when the car is finished!

Almost there, started rubbing the cutting compound to smooth out my painting attempts :)

More, not sure what I'll do with the rims yet, sanded the outside edge to see how it looked. Not overly impressed with the 'cherry red' paint, looks more bright red to me :(

Looking mean! Who says the mid-90s red stripes are lame? That looks wicked!

What headers and exhaust did you get? Would love to hear it - maybe an audio or video clip. I'm happy with the exhaust on my EF (Coby headers, no cat, Tickford mandrel 2.5"), but need to upgrade the exhaust on my AU. It looks like an off-the-shelf Pitstop or Midas stock replacement - sounds OK, but looks really restrictive. Have looked at a Rage big bore, but they want $1000 before installation - way too steep. So looking for other options here in NZ. Would appreciate your advice.

Thanks.

Nice work Deff, looks pretty mean with the red striping like that I reckon. The wheels would look cool with the polished lip IMO.. combined with some lowering :P

Yea, agree totally with KWIKXR - polished lip on the wheels and lowering, at least at the back. The beast has attitude!

Have some 2" lowering blocks for the rear coming, will assess front at that time.

Sound umm it annoys me currently. sounds like a skyline :( Will recheck once I get the new engine in, this one is totally shagged.

Will post clip once new engine in :)

The Extractors and exhast came out of a AU XR6, I had to alter it some to get it too fit the wagon though. Apparantly it cost the chap $2500 when he had it fitted new to his XR6.

Bashed engine in, took a few swings of some really heavy things.

Fought with stupid AU rocker assemblies/cam (My beautiful cam that I cannot even use now).

Had to settle for a EF XR6 Cam for the EF Tickford head I had ported/worked.

Sigh

Anyway, in the process of running it in now, timing is a 'hair' out but has s**t of power around 2000-3500rpms but yeh. About to do a trans flush. Went to repco and the thieving pricks tried charging me $169 for a filer and gasket kit for the auto.

Yeh it's pretty bad in NZ

Might try Ebay, even with shipping it'll be cheaper by lots.
