Got a bit of sanding done on the front bumper, came out ok. Only using original indicators, trying to source some XR6 ones is not proving easy :(

Interior, started painting the surround silver, not sure if I like it yet though...

AU Rear Seats, need a good clean but fitted nicely.

Cam of yum yum...

Lastly, do these breathe OK? Wanting to use it as I like the look.

Hell Yeah, Nice work there.

Also the EF Intake's provide more breathing compared to EL/AU. You do need the top of the airbox with it though as that is where the size difference is.

Dude, thats coming along nicely. Can't wait to see this thing all painted one colour, i reckon it's gonna turn out great 8-)

Try these guys for the XR indicators, they apparently have a few XR's wrecking at the moment - just found out yesterday
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... =302456038

As for the intake, they don't pose too much of a restriction up to 150-160kw from what I've read on here so it should be fine I'd say. Just fit a larger intake snorkel and make sure you get a decent amount of air flow to the airbox

Any clues on how aggressive the cam is from Franklins? I'm pretty useless with cam specs lol

Yeh saw that auction, asked the question but he's answered others around me so assuming he doesn't have at this stage :(

Adrian described the cam as lumpy at idle and very strong through the mid range. Can't wait to chuck it on the dyno so I can get a J3 sorted :)

Hell yeah, sounds good . Did he happen to give you a grind number for that particular cam?

Also will it work okay on a std ecu until the you get a chip sorted? I think i will be sending my spare cam back to Adrian for a lumpier grind, the one i have now idles fairly stock with just a slight lope now and then but seems to have good midrange punch. If i can get something with a tougher idle and a stronger midrange punch, I'll be over the moon - just a temp fix until the EF gets boosted

Nah there was no specific grind number, just what is in the image above, was listed as a 'special' grind. Should run OK with standard ECU, stally, good extractors, 2.5" exhast etc...

Autospeed did a great workup on the EF intake system:
http://www.autospeed.co.nz/cms/A_107828/article.html

They found the biggest restriction at the airbox exit - even using the better EF airbox lid. The series of articles is worth a read.

Cheers bud, good read. I'd seen that before but couldn't find it again!

Got pranged in a carpark. Couldn't find a used XR6 indicator anywhere. Cost the guilty party over $300 for a new one from the Ford dealership. Must be collectors items or something
