As a few of you may know, I got a DL LTD from a council auction a few years back for the motor and gearbox. Instead of scrapping the car, I'm going to convert it to be a drag car. Since 90% of the interior is burnt, it will be all stripped out anyway. More info & photos will come as I get round to it.

I'm building a 418w using a 351w block that I got thru J T American Imports. I'm also getting a C6 built to handle 800hp. The motor will hopefully be round the 700hp when finished. I'll start building it when the block comes back from Orger Engines.

The interior was pretty badly burned when I got it from the council auction. But there Is a few items that may be re usable. I'll make up a list when stripping of the car is finished.

A bit off topic here, but does ford sell a shorter serpentine belt for the ford v8 motor? I want to run the 302 thats coming out of the DL without air con. Its going into the mustang.

i know holden made shorter v6 belts to bypass the air con so i guess ford would possibly have one , did they make a v8 without air conditioning, like in a ute with just the standard gear?

If you can't get another belt, just get an AC delete kit from eBay, bolts up to where your ac pump was and is just a pulley instead.

Belts come in 11 billion different sizes.

Look on the dayco and gates websites and choose one that suits.

You will be able to search by length. Usually the parts numbers are like pk7XXXX where 7 is the amount of ribs and the last 4 digits are the length in mm.
