^^^^ thats what i was thinking, the extra storage would be good, but have to watch the weight on the drawbar though. Man, it certainly is tempting to have a go at one of these myself.
what about where the fuel tank was, are you welding in a flat floor? you could use a hilux or falcon ute spare wheel holder and mount the spare under the back aswell, or a water tank, or heaps of stuff... too many possibilitys, lol.

ive pulled the fuel tank out and im gong to build a floor to go in there with the spare wheel mounted under the trailer (ute style), so there will be some more storage under the floor

Update!
Got some 1mm steel and some 25*3 Flat, and started sheeting the front of it in, the whole thing will now be steel, no fibreglass in sight, put a slight curve on the upper part to aid in airflow, next up is to fill in the hole where i cut the trans tunnel out. ive also got some XF Ute leaf spring (6 leaves as opposed to 4) to stiffen it up a bit. the finish is in sight! well....... im sorta thinking of finishing it and selling it, so i may just rust proof and prime it, use it for a couple of weeks to go pick up all the garden and building supplies i need to finish my landscaping (to test it) and sell it off - since i have two other projects in the works (MKII cortina, and CAPA kit for my car - which also may be for sale depending on how carried away i get with the corty)

Did you have to have an engineer inspect the trailer as you build it, or does it need just one inspection at the end?

All the info i found points towards a trailer not having to be engineered,

i can take some, but what ive done is put a 150*50*3 RHS across the front of both sills and rails, then the drawbar goes through this RHS (housing jointed) and is welded to the sills (and RHS). All contact points between drawbar, RHS, sills and rails are fully welded Price will be around $1600, it will owe me about $900 and consumed quite a lot of my time. i am going to list it on ebay and let you all at it - but dont get too carried away as ill be making another (couple?) in the future (if its worth my time)
