Had a bit of a screw around with the turbo. First machine shop said they couldn't machine the billet turbine wheel, so they made a new backing plate. Long story short it didn't work. Went to another shop and they're like yeh we can do it. They did it yes, but the turbine C**k sideways on the press and it was damaged, BUT, they replaced it free of charge and machined that one without hassles. Picked it up today to fit it tonight.
Also had a few weeks off over Christmas so i pressure washed the carpet, tidied up inside the boot so the setup looks a bit nicer, fitted and dialed in the Dev5 and replaced the lifters. Goes in next week for the bigger cooler. {DESCRIPTION}

I have been really slack with this car. about this time last year i did a handful of upgrades. Few months back myself and my brother upgraded injectors to 1150cc and upgraded to a -8 feed line with a spin off style fuel filter. Myself and him roadtuned the car with help from the previous dyno tuner.
I ran out at Heathcote and ran about 6-8 consistent 11.5 @121mph runs. She needs more stall and more boost. Tax time can't come soon enough. and entered a local Motokhana. placed 19th out of 52 cars. So she's even pretty fast around corners too.

So i've decided to risk it for the biscuit and wind the boost up and see what i can get out of it. Was at about 12.5-13psi. Myself and my brother gave it a good old road tune and got up to 17psi. Bu't now i'm at 80% duty cycle on the 1150cc injectors. Plus it is still a standard bottom end so thats where it'll stay. Hopefully i may net that illusive 10.99

A sad end to the wreckers motor bottom end in the SVO. After 3 years of boosted fun she died. Here i was thinking i'd window the block spectacularly. But instead i swapped to Bosch ID2000 injectors about 4 months back and one prematurely failed, leaned out cylinder 1 and melted a piston. So i'll replace the injectors, swap in another stock bottom end for the time being, and build a forged motor in the background.

Thats bloody good for a stanard engine 3 years boosted,a credit to your tuner (which was you & your brother in the end) can't wait to see what the SVO can do in the future especially forged,next chapter coming soon!
