i love colour coded handles.

EB1 had the rough black handles too. my EB does. i reckon i'll put on semi gloss black EL ones.

The EL ones in semi gloss could look rather good. My Eb s1 Xr8 has the black rough looking handles on it, but i have a set of ED smooth handles i could paint up & fit, which i might do if i keep the Xr8, Depends, the look of the black handles on the white car is growing on me. :D

I didn't realize the SVO had color coded handles & mirrors, that was a bit ahead of it's time wasn't it? You know the digital cluster your looking for, i threw one out about 6mths ago now. Had a tad over 300,000 on it, but I'm sure there is a way to hookup an interface & reset the mileage to whatever you require.

Cheers

only Fairmonth Ghia based ones had the colour coded ones. S-pac ones have the black mirrors but still colour coded handles.

the wrecker in Marong has a Digi dash. unknown kms tho

My EB1 Fairmont Ghia had the flat rough type handles on it. EB11 onwards had the colour coded handles.

I have two of the Digi clusters. One has 315+k on it and the other is unknown. Does your SVO had the door ajar sensors? The digi clusters have that function built in, but need the rest of the wiring.

Cheers

yep tells you when boot, bonnet, fuel flap and doors are open. the fuel gauge decided to stop working.

when i bought it, it was sticky. like you'd hit the dash and it'd work. but now that "trick" doesn't work

Hmmm, the fuel gauge would be identical to the the gauges used in the normal clusters. You could dismantle it and replace the fuel gauge workings with one from a normal sports cluster, or even a GLi cluster.

That way you would keep your kms etc.

the guy has already changed the cluster once. it has 315,000kms on the cluster in it. Also the SVO cluster had SVO in the tacho.

Changed the whole cluster or just the fuel gauge part?

You should be able to rape another cluster of a working fuel gauge to fit into your current cluster. I used the speedo mech from a GLI in my sports cluster for an example.

Cheers

it's ever ending. in typical 3.9/4L fashion it did a head gasket, mmmm yummy milky oil. so the head got ripped off today, the bores look pretty glazed and the chain guides broke so i'm just biting the bullet and gunna put in a AU motor and my 5 speed in before it's registered.
