anybody else done this i am a fair way in...... is there any thing i am missing...intec au motor low kay second hand,el big port head rebuilt ported shaved crow springs retainers flowed 380 hp, aussie speed 4 barrel manifold ported,SURE CAMS cam,adjustible crow cam gear,600 mech sec holley,two inch spacer,fuel reg,carter elec fuel pump,factory au head gasket,iwis timing chain,new guides and tensioners,race pacies,single three inch zorst,au fans,au radiator,modded cross member, modded pulleys,T5 heavy duty clutch,3:45 lsd........ i think thats it..... modded xf carby dizzy.......thats it.... do you think thats all?.... T5 will die first!.... cam and head will be good for 6500 will the motor? any body spinning these?.....the au only revs to 5700 or so maybe it will stay together......

Or is this a leg pull? Also its all illegal as you now don't meet the emission standards.

There are guys making over 400 rwkw on 20 psi revving to 6500 on a standard bottom end i wouldn't worry about that. I just want know why you ditched the injection for a carbi? Im so over carbi tuning (bikes) fuel injection all the way!

just to see what will happen all the parts are from the work shop so no biggy.....i will compare power figures with injected cars when its all sorted see whats what

after its all done i could always use the the engine,sell the manifold to a speedway guy and then save a couple of thousand to get injecters fuel pump computer or flash tuner plus tuning and dyno time....

what would be the cost of some mods for a injected 4 litre? whats the wildest numbers for a non boosted or chemicaly charged ford ohc motor my au is vct and has 190 hp at the tyres so whats good and bad,you could go pretty far, big cam, injecters ,fuel pump ,computer ,throttle bodies (6) high comp ,big valves ,big ports.... who has some numbers... 250 hp at the wheels ? more ? i have a thought that maybe a 250 x flow can make as much or more power in n/a form than an ohc motor. I could be wrong.... i will find how much power is in a carby ohc motor.... i have an idea how much is in the x-flow..... and the ohc motor is stronger so could hold more power... the idea is to see how cheap and how far i can go... stage one is ready to go in car... maybe some one will be as interested as me
stage one:mild motor manuel gear box 3;45 lsd stage two: high comp,rods, bigger vaves , stage three:auto,stall,4:11, bigger carby stage four:cortina,tubs stage five:pro charger ?

slowly but surely i will keep on going on,i stripped and rebuilt the 250 crossflow dizzy and put a new hole in it so i can mount the au cog on the bottom,the dizzy was from one of my old 250 crossflows and was done up for a decent sized cam and strong rpm,it was like new inside just a little dirty,i fitted a new vacume advance unit and sealed it all up ready to go,i am using the cap from an xf with the post style leads just because of clearence under the aussie speed manifold,also pulled the carby down just for a look and to put in a new power valve i changed the jets and gave it a clean up its already set up pretty good came from a 202 holden six after the guy was convinced a 650 dp was a little to big for a 202 on the street, peddle box is in the ea and the manual is ready to bolt in,also fitted the shocks and springs from the au should help the steering feel a little lighter,things to do include blocking off the power steering lines on the rack and fabricating the alternator bracket will start both in the next week or and will get some pics as well!

one mate of mine pulled 232rwhp with a cam, chip, bbm and exhaust, another pulled 252rwhp in a Brock EA

so not knowing exact mods maybe 300hp at the tyres with every thing done to an injected motor?
about 350 hp at the motor. maybe i will fail !
