the balancer has the same bolt pattern, the pulley will bolt up, just needs a spacer to bring it out so it lines up.

In between the stinking hot weather, fixing kids quad bikes and working on my mates shooting rig, I haven't had much of a chance to work on the engine, so today I got to have a bit more of a play.

got the heads back from the engine re-conditioners..

Image

put the sump on, and heads, I also got a harmonic spacer and fitted that up to.

and the roller rockers..

Thats coming along nicely Chris. Which engine re-conditioners did you go to? I'm thinking about getting a head done for my wagon to keep back as a spare.

So I have an update :) it has been a while, but got some more done on the engine today, I cleaned down the block and painted it black, and started to re-assemble all the accessories back onto the front of the motor.

I also test fitted the intake manifold, it look as tho i'll have to use the factory rocker covers as the top half of the manifold touches the oil filler cap.

a little bit more done today...

I got the lower part of the intake bolted down, and test fitted the top half to check clearance with the oil filler and no joy, filler is too close, so i'll have to use the stock rocker covers until I find something else.
also fitted the engine mounts..

I'm not that stressed, i'll just pant the stock ones the same color, will give the same affect I am after anyways. It's not like they cost me much, they were about $15 on ebay.

At least they were not expensive. Can't run a spacer to get the clearance?

Cheers
