hi guys thought i would put in a update here are some photos
story so far is it was complete and run in but had some dramas with valve springs and a dam cracking sump now replaced and going in this weekend so i hope to make it to the next penrith meet on the 21st...
power so far with wrong springs and a bad $900 dollar tune which i have decided to fix myself with a lillte help from some dyno owners
is 303rwhp while running 14.1 under load (rip off bastard)
now have it running 12.7 under wot and crusing nicley at 14.3 will hopefully get a little better maybe up around 14.9 with some playing around and with a new set of comp cam springs in it i cant wait to get back on the dyno to see the differance...and maybe some more power yay!!!!!!! more more more plz sir

see this thread for previous photos and story forums/viewtopic.php?t=57184

Wow thats a real fast turn around, you must be a fabricator or something similar? I am a fabricator, and would love to attempt this one day.

Great work mate, the paint looks fantastic.

done a few have all the jigs made ready to go the hard bit is finding a decent irs as series ones are junk and the driveshafts are weak and the brakes are to small and rear toe rods and no longer avaialble and dont interchange with series 2 so find a series 2 or 3 ..if you can and hard to find one thats ingood nic as all the kit car guys want them and will pay big $$ for a good one up to $3000 they are paying atm if its low kays and not bent

If you were to install and IRS, could it be had so that AU offset rims could be fitted without adapters.
Reason i ask is that my front upgrade requires AU rims, but my rear is still E-series. Also what sort of power will an IRS handle

With what you doing brett u will destroy everything.

Black AU 4ORD was IRS and lasted a while with the 347 but now with his 363 kept having problems so now its a 9in and ladder bar setup.

hes right u better to put in a au seriers 3 diff out of a sedan it will bolt straight in and give u the au offset without the spacers irs better for a track weapon not real good for the strip as it adds about 150kgs to the GVM less weight better for the strip and seriers 3 sedan diffs they do bolt straight in and use the seriers 3 rotors and calipers as they are thicker and bigger... the brake lines will bolt straight to yours mounting points are the same to for the trailing arms can help if needed

Yeh that will do the job but brett is going 427ci windsor so he will destroy it with a decent launch with slicks. Just get a 9inch.

I think its XD,XE and XF diff fit in so find someone with a 9inch from those cars which has been done already and all u need to do it take it to a fabricator and weld all mounts from old diff onto that and away you go.

Also look into shot pening all the diff components as i know of a few big hp vl turbo's going around that have there diff's done and there lasting.

My bro is going to do that soon and it was only a couple hundred to do it all.
