I've never bothed to get a quote. But i've done alot of reading and have a few mates that have had quotes.
Its around the $800 mark for a VASS certificate (engineering certificate)
And its around the $3000 for a emissions test and if you fail that then thats your money down the drain. Also alot of stuff has to be up graded i believe..Brakes,Engine mounts ect ect..Theres only two in Vic that are engineered that i no of..

I got a quote for my Eb Ghia - was under $1000, no emissions test required IF i still run the factory ECU. So you just wind the boost down to what the factory gear can cope with to get thru if you don't want to get the emissions test done.

Brakes only need to be upgraded if the car is deemed to not be able to stop quick enough, the engineer will attach a force meter to your brake peddle & you go out & do some stops from specified speeds, distance & time is measured & then the decision on your brakes is made.

I've got the ball rolling on further engineering one of my car's. It currently has the larger engine engineered, but the next step is EFI, turbo, new seats, mags & a few other little bits and pieces. It passed the brake test, so no brake mods required, even tho i will fit slotted discs anyway.

Cheers

Cool. The cost of engineering is rather small compared to the cost of an accident that you are not covered by your insurance and or TAC.

Cheers

Man, this is one awesome EB. Love the sleeper spec look about it, would definitely keep people guessing when they are blown away at the lights hey

New plates suit it well i reckon, reminds me of XF0747..

Far out, that's getting even more serious! Still going to keep the sleeper look on the outside?

Yeh its getting abit more serious now.
Soon as i find a daily it will be all happerning. The plan is to push the car to around 400rwkw and go for a low 11 down the 1/4 (manaul) but im being told i should get 10's with that power and the right set up. It will be staying a sleeper to a certain extent. But ill be getting intercepter wheels made into 10 inch rims with about 4 inch dish.
Cheers Sam i will do mate,Im also looking for an EL/EF for a daily aswell!
