Nice score on the ED mate, sounds very much like my Lane when I first picked it up. Stock as a rock. Pity some a**hole smoked in it.........nothing pisses me off more

Have fun transforming it, sounds like you have a good plan to get rid of the crap and install some goodness in her!

Glad you like it lads,
It's had a minor bingle at the RHF and RHR but nothing serious...rear 1/4 original and front guard replaced still it's good for the money and doesn't have any rust. I've nearly spent what it cost me on the suspension already...pretty much eveything was buggered.
I used a BEL Vector for the performance figures Scaff. I was going to go to the drags but because my nearly new $800 helmet was produced before the new testing stickers were applied I'm not allowed to use it. So f**k them...I'll be street testing from now on!
Besides the BEL belongs to a mate who tested it against the clocks at the drags and it's within a 100th. I'm probably going to buy a new G-tech Pro so I can give the BEL back

btw anyone got any stock HO Mustang ally rocker covers they don't want? You know, the ones that nobody wants :D I hate steel rocker covers!

Looks like a good score for the money there XR9ute! Good basis for more than a few mods, and yeah, it's sitting way too high, about a meter would do the trick! ;-)

Planning on fitting up an LSD diff to it?

Cheers

Probably...either way, I'm not buying new helmet just because they have stupid rules!

Yes and most importantly there is no difference in the testing!?
They're probably in cahoots with the helmet sellers.

Where do you plan on getting the 3.7's from? I've been trying to track some down for my diff but can only find a second hand bunch on eBay. Really want to get my hands on some.

Don't know yet. New gears are over $500 a set I believe. The other thing is I'll need an LSD and I'm kind of reluctant to get a stock cone type.

A TrueTrac would be the go, depending on how far you'd want to go with it.

I have a G-tech Pro laying around, that hardly ever gets used. You're welcome to borrow it for as long as you like. If I ever need it, I'd know where it's at.

Thanks Chad,

I may take you up on that offer. btw we used to have a Vericom at Orbital which was pretty good so, I checked out the Vericom site, $4K for the latest one!?
Are true traks available for the 78 series now? I was thinking my only option was the Kazz which, I've heard good reports about.

Yeah Pete,

Harrop do a Truetrac for the BW78. I have one in my EL. I'm not sure what they start out with, but I know they have to modify one from another vehicle to fit ours. You don't even know it's there, but there's the peace of mind that it's not going to start single-spinning... ever. I'm really happy with it, although it's been sitting idle for over 7 months now!

I'll pick the G-tech up out of my car over the weekend and give it a run in the white XR8, then should be able to get it to you some time after that, if you like.
