I've given up trying to find an XR steering wheel. I think I'll buy an aftermarket wheel and make a switch plate to go behind it for the Cruise.

I like this one....

I'd relish the opportunity to use a wheel like that if I had a boxcar. Especially when people want more for worn out factory Momo ones that are almost 20 years old. You have to laugh.

Any pics now that the suspension work is done?

Yeah I was thinking along the same line. The factory momo wheels are selling for too much for something that is worn out.

Malaga sproings, Bilstein shocks,Dobinson coils, superpro bushes. Yeah it looks different and handles very very well now. I Still think it's a bit high(about XR8 height I reckon) but Colin will change the springs for no charge if I'm not happy after a month.

Sounds good. Hopefully it settles a bit for you, then. Well, I suppose it doesn't matter if they'll replace them for you if it doesn't. I'm in favour of having great handling with slightly higher ride these days, anyway. My white XR8 is too low, scrapes on everything and annoys the crap outta me. The red one won't be going any lower.

Hey Pete I got this one from Auto One. It isn't a momo,it is just on the bunky ute. Been on for about a year and a half now, showing no signs of wear and feels pretty good. Got it when they had a sale for $90 normally $140. It will need a boss kit and the boss kit will come with a Ford centre button. I choose to stick with the one that come with the wheel, rather than use the s**t one.

Yep. At Least!
I'm going to have to do the exhaust sooner rather than later too. The hangers have actually corroded off the exhaust in a couple of spots.

What size exhaust are you looking at. A dual or single.

Yes, she's still quite high. Interested to know which way you'll be going with the exhaust as well.

I've got that G-tech sitting here now, too. Maybe Monday I'll see if I can get it to you.

Probably 2 1/4" twin but maybe 2 1/2". I'll most likely use the 2 1/2" Lukey ultraflow mufflers I already have either way.
No worries Chad, give us a yell.

In preparation for future mods, hey?

Have you had any luck with the Momo steering wheel? I found this site in the UK, looking for brakes for our Mondeo. They have a decent range of steering wheels and they ship to Australia. I've found their brake prices are 25% cheaper than anywhere else, but I'm not sure how the steering wheels compare. Fire them an email to get a shipping quote, you'll have a reply the next day. I can get EBC OEM spec brakes to my door for half the price of what I can get genuine brakes for it here!
