Hi guys, had an issue with my 4.0 lt ed in december, I couldnt get it to start. After some investigation it turned out it was the fuel pump, although it was pumping fuel it wasnt enough to start the vehicle, was only getting 80 cc instead of min of 240 cc in 10 seconds, by the way it runs on gas as well.
Anyway if I go for a start after leaving it for a few hours I need to cranck it for about 5 seconds before it comes to life (fuel starts). Its no problem starting it during the day, only if its left for a long time. I also found if I prime the fuel pump a few times it helps to start the car quicker. Seems like its losing fuel pressure, theres no fuel leaks that I can find or smell. Could it be the pressure regulator. Thought it may be dirty injectors but seems to run well and revs out well with no hesitation, Please help.
