Incorrect.

EA-ED Sedans have the same front and rear doors as the EF-EL Sedans. The difference is in the 1/4 window surround which is removable on the EA-ED, not 100% sure on the EF-EL. Can any one confirm?

Wagon rear doors are the same across them all too, and are the same as the Fairlane rear doors.

Cheers

I can confirm. EA-ED wagons and Fairlanes have different rear doors to the sedans. The top of the sedan doors round off on the C-pillar end. The window (the rolling window, not the little quarter one) corner is rounded rather than the wagon style which is a plain corner.
If that makes sense.

EF and EL sedans used the early E-series wagon style doors on all cars, wagons Fairlanes and sedans.

i just finished putting the copper pipes back on the compressor (had family around late yesterday) anyway while moving it back i felt oil on my hand so i had a look and it could probably explain apart from the air leak why its struggling to fill up  looks to have a oil leak and would explain why the top of the tanks oily :P

LOL yea im sure that will work out well :P

found a compressor i pick it up tomorrow its a J.B.S from blackwoods details below

Belt Driven
50L tank
cast iron cylinder barrel for longer life
manufactured to australian standards
comes with filter regulator
2.5hp
capacity: 164L/min
voltage: 240V10A

coming to a total of $581.90 (me and dad going halfs he uses it more then i do)

also they do all there warranty and service/repairs inhouse so dont have to send it off for anything.

also im picking up an au VCT motor of lukey1990 at some stage so my motor, intake manifold, accesories and ecu etc are up for sale as i will be doing BBM, thermos and serpentine conversion.

was speaking to my brother inlaw last night and it looks as if this compressor may be abit on the small side still  it only flows 5cfm/minute needs to be closer to 8cfm/minute to be able to spray the car easily. i looked in the blackwoods catalogue and there next compressor up is a 3hp 229L/per minute and its not much dearer then this one at $650 but of course as always its not as easy as going with this one...the compressor above is 240V10A the one i have just mentioned is a 240V15A wich means we wont be able to run it here (need better power supply in the shed), dad knows an electrician said he could do it cheap but he spoke to him this morning and because we dont have circuit breakers it turns into quite a large job hes going to look into it and see if theres away around it.

Another option is i can get the compressor for $581 and then use the tank off our old compressor as a reserve tank wich should help out abit.

Or see what the biggest compressor is i can hire but most likely will be the same deal needing better power supply.

maybe someone doesnt want my car finished :P

so basically if the cable that runs from your house is fused at 10 amps, check the cable from the house to the shed, it should be the white one with the 3 wires, they are rated for 20 amps 240v, just upgrade the breaker to the shed to say 18amps, 10AFusewire+8A Fusewire and either cut the larger 15A earthpin down or cut the plug and wire on a standard one, easy fix

normal extension leads will run 15a, might get a bit hot but they will work, when i say hot i mean they tend to bend easier like more sloppy,

Also since the compressor probably is not going to be pulling 15amps all the time, most likely peak ( when it first turns on, and also its intermittent it wont be a problem,, hell ill come up and wire it up for you if you want

i looked into the larger compressor i mentioned earlier its roughly 7.8CFM wich would be good for what i want but me and dad cant really afford $325 each to buy a new compressor just to get the car done.

so i rang coates hire and they rent compressors i said i needed it to spray a car he suggested one that flows 12CFM and its also 240V10A so nothing needs to be changed so ill be picking it up on tuesday ill spend that time making sure every things ready because at $75 a day i dont want to be mucking around.

done abit more rear bar got some primer on the weekend (took ages with the compressor) and kept losing pressure anyhow need to sand a few rough bits and re prime then thats ready for paint front bar is ready for primer i think i may need to fix a mark or 2 i cant remember, grill repairs are done i think? thats been sitting on the bench for a while i know i have to sand inside the headlight holes, boot lip is ready for primer oh and i also started on fixing the corner of the bonnet. basically i have left to do. get 3 doors handles ready for primer (1 is done) sand the trims for the pillars, mirrors (covers), side skirts and the grey side moulds (colour coding them) and then pick up the compressor monday after work and get up with the birds tuesday and spray away :P after thats done i should be able to start putting it back together to clear some room in the shed to repaint the plastic trims and stuff. Also the windows are being tinted while there out the doors and thats probably it. So that wasnt a gigantic wall of text i have some pictures for you all.

That's actually pretty good for compressor hire. I wonder if I shouldn't consider that next summer, instead of taxing my poor little compressor or buying something bigger. I too only have 10amp power setup in my shed, and don't want to spend up to setup a 15amp setup.

Keep at it man, it's looking good!

Cheers
