I personally wouldn't bother with all the f@rt around to get a vct setup in my EB Ghia, I'd just force some boost down it's throat to get some more power. I have to stop thinking about that, cause there is money to be spent in other area's first.

i drain it before i use the gun. i may swap them over and see if it makes a difference.

today with the help of lukey1990 we got nearly all the sanding done all thats left is to finish the side skirts and do the side moulds. Also got the corner of the bonnet done but i noticed all this sticky stuff on my boot wich wet sanded off but theres lots of scratches  so i now need to re prime a few areas of the boot wich sucks as it was ready for paint.

heres the bonnet:

i thought i would add this up aswell after we (me and lukey1990) had finished most of the sanding we went and had a look at an XF sedan for 1200 low k's and it was really low but from experience cross flows arent very good on fuel at all. But i stumbled across a 2002 series 3 au falcon for $2,500 i am making some enquiries now and will possibly having a look tomorrow night.

The Au looks tidy, does it suffer the "au rust issues" or not? Why so cheap?

Cheers

Yeah the AU is probably sold..?

The XF is awesome though. Bench and column auto, 136k, very tidy interior, retro colour, few stone chips but no rust.

Vote 1.. :P

BTW, check my thread, very likely realised why the fairmont isn't starting..

picked up the car earlier i was speaking to the guy and he said it had the engine rebuilt bt H&M performance 4,000k's ago may look through the car and see if theres a receipt but it does go well apart from the battery dying on me  and its very bouncy. ill put it on the charge tomorrow while i clear up the shed for the XR6 to go back in this weeks forcast cold and rain rain and more rain so hopefully next week it will be ok. So i will tidy the XF up a little bit im going to see if the tyres on 2 of the snow flakes hold air and if they do i will chuck them on.

crap pic.
Image

it doesnt really need alot apart from a battery (i will try charging this one first) it just needs a rear view mirror and a passenger side mirror and a detail possibly look into the heater if i get picky. It also has a blown muffler but its not very loud or annoying yet so i will leave it.

It's definitely very tidy, especially being 26 years old.

You'll have to chuck up some better pics so other people can see too :P

so today i did a few things i put the battery from the XR6 into the XF the battery in the XF is a cheapie from big w i also put the hotwires off the XR6 onto the XF (the fronts rub really bad) and also cleared out the shed for the ed to go back in untill some nice weather comes wich hopefully is next week as im working for a month just after easter so i wont get time to really do anything. I have the 2 flat tyres on the snow flakes pumped up so hopefully they hold air or ill take them somewhere and get them looked at. The front left tyre on the XF was badly worn on the inside showing wires and also some tread was lifting, so tomorrow i should be able to fit the snow flakes as i will end up ruining the tyres on my hot wires if i leave them on they are already damage from 5 mins of driving and there was bits of rubber flicked up on the gaurds.
