so monday dad took the compressor back (i was working) and rebooked the compressor i had for this weekend he went down yesterday to pick it up and they wheeled out an old s**t that looks like it was found on the titanic dad responded with what the f**k is that is it 17cfm? the bloke looks on the computer turns out the compressor i booked some wanker booked it out to someone else he said its 17 cfm so i started it last night and it sounds like a wet f@rt the belt cover vibrates like hell and makes alot of noise its very fumy and it vibrates across the shed floor

so this morning im going to get the other side skirt in colour then clear the bumpers and side skirts allow them to dry then paint the bonnet and gaurds hopefully. then sunday will be side moulds, door handles, pillar trims, grill, boot lip.

Looking good man, keep at it, you can see the shine off the paint from the light @ the end of the tunnel!

The cheap spray guns I have used are all very touchy on the pressure, need to keep it real down and they seem to spray ok. IIRC I was spraying at 25psi when I last used mine. I'd love to pick myself up a better gun, maybe before I spray my panel van I will.

Pitty about the compressor, I'd be going back, asking for the correct compressor free of charge for the f**k!

Cheers

ToranaGuy

im pretty dissapointed with this compressor it has some old school gauge on it not psi like the other one so i ring them up and he had no idea tells me to go and look on the net pretty poor customer service so after mucking around on the net for a while i found it and got it. wish i wasnt working on monday or i would take it back and ask for atleast half my money back.

so the right side skirt is still being a bastard with the paint blistering its driving me insane. so after mucking around with the compressor i didnt get as much as i hoped done but the bonnets done and cleared the left side skirt and front and rear bumpers are also cleared, some time of the day went into putting the new wheels on i got of lukey1990.

plan of attack for tomorrow out side at 8:30 and rip into that side skirt then prime a few areas on the gaurds prime grill and boot lip and spray it all and hopefully have it cleared by lunch time allow it to dry and do all the small stuff in the arvo....i doubt it will all go to plan but i can try :P

I LOVE those wheels Perfect for the car. It looks like there is a crease on the dog leg, I'm hoping it's just the camera??

It'll be well deserved when you go for that first drive 8-)

Have you got masking tape over the red bits of the side moulds?
