Fair enough man, know what you mean about the Xr.

If the sports exhaust for the Xf won't cost you too much more than std, and you need to replace it anyway, do it, it should give you a bit more fuel economy at the end of the day.

Cheers

do you have a stock ed exhaust if so use the mid pipe and cat if xf has cat then just a 2+1/4" tail pipe and front pipe as 2+1/4" goes perfectly on crossflows we did it to our efi xf2 with good results and cheap too as the pipes off the ea were free to us the other option is just to slot file the mid to front flange and bolt it up as it was our mufflers and tail pipe that were u/s

well it only has half an exhaust since a friends driveway tore it off when it was low  it sounds like a truck sports exhaust shouldnt be to much more then standard atleast then it will sound nice :P

xf has no cat and the only ed exhaust i have is on the ed :P it needs the exhaust replaced all the way to the manifold where it bends from the engine bay to underneath the car someone welded a thick piece of still onto the exhaust looks like theres a few holes around it to.

you're right i just looked back and realised ours was xf2 which was eecIV with cat but you could still use a mid pipe someone on here must have one in their shed just waiting for an xf

thanks mate, i think the pictures make the front look higher then it is its not much higher then the back in person and it catches the tyres going in and out of driveways.
