Nice work. Wish the weather would fine up so I can cut & polish my front bar & mirrors, they are well overdue for it....

Cheers

today me and lukey1990 done abit more to the paint work on the ed its slowly coming up well dont think i will be able to improve it much from where it is at now but its looking alot better then it was.

couple of days ago i mounted some amps in the boot for the sound system to shortly go in.
Image
i mounted them there so they are out of the way and wont get damaged with anything in the boot.
got the gaurd badges back on
Image
fixed the passenger side gaurd
Image

hopefully this week i can get a battery for the ed and get it out of the shed more often. then its save to be able to pay 2 regos in august both cars are 2 weeks apart  later on in the year i plan to pull the motor out strip the engine bay and spray it to match the car.

well it didnt take long for me to change things :P i wasnt very happy with how the rear bumper turned out but i was thinking of ways to modify the front and rear bumpers so they are lower and sit about even with the side skirts. last week i had a member from xfalcon come round to have a look at a set of wheels when i opend the back shed i noticed the el rear bumper i thought i chucked to the tip over a year ago  so i had ideas rolling around in my head and today decided i would cut up the el bar and graft it onto my ed bumper so i got out the jigsaw (ignore the wonky looking cuts jigsaws arent my strong point :P ) and screwed it onto my rear bumper and did some measuring to make sure it would meet up with the side skirts. dont judge by these pictures these are just where i am up to i know it looks bad but these bumpers arent exactly the same shape but i think it will turn out ok i have counter sunk the screws they will stay in there for strength i will cut the ends down inside the bar.

pics.

after being trimmed

no turning back now

and where im upto

there still abit of work to go and a fair amount of re shaping but hopefully it turns out ok if all goes well i will grab a ef front bar and do the front.

thanks mate im now using a fiber glass based filler to build up the areas in need of shaping as fiber glass sheeting is taking a while i also have to hold the heat gun on it as nothing will set thanks to this crappy cold weather :P

i have already sold 2 sets of wheels and have decided to part with my magnums and hot wires aswell so i put the 18s on the xf untill i get something else to go on it.

ed is on stockies they need tyres bad camber wear so they were no good to put on the xf.
Image

things to do to the ed:
finish rear bumper
do front bumper
power window conversion
fit LTD interior
rewire speakers
get new speakers
wire up amps
get sub box for the sub in the shed

That XF is crying out to be lowered! Maybe not as low as the first time but that a** is way to high!

been doing abit more to both cars, i have my magnums and hotwires advertised on gumtree only had 1 call with a guy offering to swap some 18 inch chrome wheels said he would think about it so not sure what will happen there hopefully i get some other calls shortly.

i removed the pipe that runs along the rocker cover going to the exhaust manifold and intake as half of it was missing. it felt like there was a small hole in the intake manifold with the pipe out not wanting any problems i made something to block it up and it works :P

the nut that is on the pipe i hammerd the pipe out of it and put a washer and bolt in it
Image
then jammed a nut in the other side and ground down the bolt
Image
and fitted
Image
looks alot neater i also had a piece of cheap braided look hose so i thought i would put it on the xf theres also a little breather/filter that i had in the shed the new air cleaner doesnt allow the thick pipe to connect to it.
Image

to the ed havent done to much to it lately but today i feel like working on it so far i have cut the tail pipe back so the rear bar will fit it will stay like that untill a new exhaust goes on it will need a tailpipe made up.

what i come up with for now
Image
looking under the car with it on the ground
Image

ill post some rear bumper progress later on im about to head outside and do some more.
