so once i pay my licence and 2 regos ill have a little money from work pay and my tax to do the following to the XF.

350 holley im buying off a mate $140
xe spac im buying off another mate for $200 grabbing bucket seats manual convo and sunroof :D
and im pretty sure its lowerd so ill use the springs to.

saturday i was given a rear bumper off a ea it needs a little work but it was free after all, so i took it out today first time its been out of the driveway since its been buffed.

Looks like the respray tidied it up nicely. I reckon it would look great with the red stripe colour coded.

The 18s look huge on it too!

picked up my manifold and exhaust today.

redline torker manifold
Image
Image
fitted the carby studs put a couple of bolts in and put the holley on to see how things were looking
Image
Image
2 things that need attention is the fuel line and the throttle cable is to short.

i then had a look into fitting the new exhaust it didnt go to plan the bolts are rusted and stupidly tight dad had a go and stripped a bolt so i gave up  the exhaust is 2.5inch cat back redback middle section with a redback straight through muffler and a auspac tail pipe.

Image

it would of been easier to get the bloke at the exhaust shop to do it but the cars to low to get on the hoist  may try get it on the hoist at my brother inlaws work may even sell if i get a good offer :P

yesterday i got the old exhaust off ended up unbolting it all from the manifold cut it at the diff and got it out cut the bolts off and reinstalled the cat.

Image
while jacked up i thought this looked kinda cool
Image
Image

anyway i went to the local exhaust shop this morning to get some nuts and bolts he gave me the nuts bolts and 4 washers for free :D came home and fitted the front section the tail pipe isnt on yet ill have to do that on the hoist as theres not enough clearance to get it over the diff  so i took it for a drive and at this time am a little disappointed its very quite and pretty much sounds stock. i parked the car for abit and decided to take it out again to let it carbon up had it idling for 10mins jumpedin to go and it started idling roughly then it died now it doesnt go  wind it over starts revs up then dies give it throttle its back fires i noticed the fuel pump wasnt priming dad called ract out he said its definately the fuel pump so went to get the pump out and that big round plastic thing is bloody tight. how do you guys usually undo it? i have a pump in the shed its not a convenient time for it to break down with the xf off the road aswell.
