few updates, xf is now running ive also fitted another power valve wich has helped it run better aswell.

few pictures of how it looks at the moment.

removed the old power valve to find someone had put wire into the holes where the fuel goes through restricting it. runs 100X better with that removed

looking on gumtree last week and found this for $35 who could say no :D

today i did a few things to the ed, touched up a few bits of paint in the bay, cleaned the tickford rocker cover with degreeser and put it back on the car, cleaned the over spray off the build plates i was going to do that a few months ago :oops: and took the exhaust sheild off and gave it a clean up.

i was just thinking about that s**t xf rocker cover i was going to sugest you paint it but i seen the new one when i scrolled down haha,

haha :P i was going to paint it when i did the gaskett but then the chrome one popped up wich will look better cant wait to put it on :D

Nice update!

I've recently fit a new engine to a mates FE LTD (250 efi xflow), and was looking at his valve cover, wondering what can be done to it.....I think I have an idea now....

i got another bargain :P i got a columbus power cam off my mate also come with a rollmaster timing chain he got it off his brother its never been used just needs some surface rust sanded off from sitting for nearly 3 years.

specs
Duration at .050 - Inlet 214 degrees Exhaust 214 degrees
Timing at .050 Inlet Open Closed
(Guide only) Exhaust open Closed
Lobe spread 108 degrees
Rocker Ratio 1.7:1
Valve lift Inlet .487" Exhaust .487"
SAE Timing Inlet Open 40 degrees BTDC
Closed 71 degrees ABDC
Exhaust open 82 degrees BBDC
Closed 29 degrees ATDC

sure will the original timing chains are hopeless can be done in the car even on td cortinas

been raising my ed this week to low for daily driving i have been doing it bit by bit as i get sick of laying/sitting on the hard concrete :roll:

got the tickford rear springs out of the xf put them in the ed

xf with no rear springs looks kind of cool :P

put the rear springs from the ed in the front of the xf lowerd it about an inch then what it was then got some rear springs from the wreckers today for $30 and adjusted them to sit level with the front :lol:

front tyre needs air hence why it looks abit crooked.
