rear 1/4 is very close to being done no pic will look the same as the last one :P also took the rear bar off.

above in one of my posts i was considering having a small scoop on the left side of the bonnet to feed cool air to the pod so with a scrap sheet of tin and my trusty mig welder (gasless) sitting around i gave one a go.

Image

i dont think it will look any good (maybe that ones abit dodgie) but anyway i think i will cut a hole in the bonnet and put some mesh there depending how hard it would be to put mesh there.

lastly thought i would show the type of filler i have been using i havent really seen it before and only recently noticed it where i buy my primer etc from wich is spectrum car paints.

Image

this is a very good product and is probably one of the best body fillers i have used, back when i did cert 1 in auto body we had some stuff in a pink tin that was good and spectrum supplied it, this is better :P for anyone interested its $45.

and decision has been made top half of the car will be getting resprayed red bottom half ego.

Nice car mate. I have the same colour. Mine is an eb sxr6 but done up as an Ed xr6. Very annoying colour as forthe fading. I polish mine every month to keep the shine. Luckily my car has been rust protected no rust anywhere. As for the moulds I would keep them as is. Mine where colour coded and I changed then back! Love the boxcar!

its been a while since the last update and ive done nothing  last week i got called into work i had my sisters wedding last weekend, i worked all week this week and i have my cousins wedding tomorrow :P i have been thinking pretty hard about 2 tone and im not to sure i think i will grab a colour chart on tuesday when i grab my under coat and spray gun and have a look. if i decide to go a different colour i will spray the door jams black quick and easy.

sunday i plan to get stuck back into it i have to work monday then tuesday i will pick up the under coat etc and hopefully get it primed in the next week or 2 (most of the major body work is done) hopefully i have it painted by the end of the month i have to wait and see how the weather goes.

a wall of text i will update with pictures soon now my computers up and running again.

Nice work man, they do look good in red, and with the Xr front lights on them. I reckon lower it over some turbo blades, give it a chrome dump tip as suggested & cruise around for a while saving up for the other bits to do.

Keep at it, Xr's and Ghia's are worth fixing rust on, lower spec or appeal car's are not worth bothering with. :-) (Says he with 1 Ghia & 2 Xr8's lol)

Cheers
