OK bit of a thread mine and searching I have come to a hard decision, I have aquired a BF I6 otor with 124,000k on it and can bolt my snort stage 4 turbo manifold/turbo/dump pipe on to it. Only due to selling my AU forged motor so I have $2000 to spend on putting the BF motor in but it has no wiring harness, has P/S pump and A/C pump etc but what to do for a ECU?.

Ill be using my 42LB injectors etc and the BA XR6T fuel rail (I have 2 of them) on the BF motor but can the EMS 4424 V4 run the BF motor? with locked cams? or will It be easieror less headache to run the factory ECU and loom (manual) or get a better aftermarket ECU? (like the EMS 8860?)

Also I have a BF 6 speed here to put in with the BF motor also.

Any thoughts?

Just trying to work out what I need to do the trigger the factory coils, Ill be running the BBM lower and my SNORT plenum with my EL TB with cables.

you can run the dohc off the stinger if your cams are locked, but you will need to run coil igniters and the injectors will run batch fire just as the would on an e series..

How many coil igniters 6? And batch fire is ok

if you run 6 coils you need 2x 3 coil igniters. if you run a coil pack eg au coil pack, 1x 3 coil igniter

OK I have rang EMS in Sydney and ordered the 3 coil igniters (2 of them) and seems like its the go ahead.

What year did the BF's get the stronger rods? will the stock BF motor make over 350rwkw without dramas?

im pretty sure mid 07 bf supposed to have got the better rods, but not 100%
