its hard to find a place around here where you can get parts to do up a falcon pretty decent without going to heaps of trouble and cost.

why arnt you driving yours?

Check my build thread. I put an AU XR6 HP engine in my fairmont with the help of a mate. Unfortunately we had a crash in his mums car, rolled 3 times. Now he's not allowed around cars and there are a few things left to do that I'm out of my depth with. Should be done soon.

whats left to be finished on yours now then??

well i pretty much prepped the whole dash with grease remover then brought a heap of plastic primer and then some white spray paint it was from bunnings for interior and exterior use but it handled nicely, prep is the key, because you can see it when you dont do it properly

Yeah mate, preparation is the key to everything.

Well the car was a bit of a mess. The wiring was everywhere and the ignition wasn't sending power to relays, etc, etc, etc.

The car now starts, the wiring needs to be away from the manifold for a RWC, I'll zip tie it lol (for now)
EA lights need to be grafted onto EB loom to have reverse lights
thermo fans need to be wired up
Dash parts need to be put back together
Head unit needs to be re wired (we changed every loom in the car including the dash)
For some reason the cat isn't sealing with the manifold and it sounds like s**t
The thing for the boot release and fuel flap needs to be wired in
Back seat needs to be put back in

As far as I can remember, that's it.

All simple stuff except for the wiring parts of things, I HATE wiring lol.

Unfortunately, my temper got the better of me and I punched some concrete on saturday and needed a hand reconstruction, so I can't do anything for ages. Took me like 5 minutes to change a tail light LOL.

Once my falcon is done I'll probably be cruising to bundy to give it a workout and take a few mates and the mrs for a drive. Might PM you about going for a cruise?

Yeah man, fiddly s**t and the wiring. Also, I know what you mean about tracing wiring... I was doing other jobs when my mate wired everything up so I didn't know what he put where and we've been trying to chase it for ages.

The fiddly s**t is a half a days work, but I can't do it until I get the wires removed from my hand, lol.

Workin on yours today man?

Yeah well I gave up cause my mate couldn't help me. Got the mechanics to look at some of the wiring.

Man your car is going to look sexy, have anything in mind for rims?

What type of paint are you going to use? I used acrylic on mine and clear and it turned out kinda crap. Looks ok if I maintain it, though. I have an eb gt kit without the wing.

Where did you get your suspension s**t from and how much? Did you need a camber kit or is it hard to tell with the narrower tires and not many KM's yet?

ah fair enough then.
well after everything is all fitted, im gunna look around for a set of 19" ive seen a set black spokes with chrome ring on the outside, my mate has a same sort of rim on him car and it look to die for!

im going ask around what paint would be best to use, im doing all the painting myself, we have a huge shed and all the spray painting gear becaase my dad re did his boat. so i'll have an ask around for that one.

i ordered my suspension in from auto barn, i know the fellas here in town pretty well, so i always go to them. it cost me all up bout 500 bucks all up and i think 100 to get the front ones fitted down at one of the workshops up here

you can hardly notice the camber of the wheel at all, all it does is make the front look a tad lower than the back

I meant like the tire wear issue with the camber.

Man, your car is going to look pretty similar to a car in issue 47 of street fords. It has the XR kit and bit black rims with a chrome lip, it looks soooo sick. It's a light silvery color though.
