about 8 months ago i brought this 1996 ef

Image

when i brought it, it had only 149k on the clock. it was completely stock, and went beauifully.
in those 8 months i had added an huast system, pacemaker extractors and a 2.5" exhaust.
i got a full set of ultra low king springs and shocks fitted them all, only probly i need to get a cabler kit for the front as the whell is only the slightest bit out. i re dd the interior white and black but havent got round to finishing it fully yet lol

Image

sorry about the phone pics there.

i have installed a small sound system, kenwood all the way, i have a kenwood headunit, kenwood splits in the doors, 6x9s on the shelf and 12 inch kenwood sub and amp in the boot 1000w each.

in the boot i havent got round to carpeting it just et as i have another sub to go in on the other side of it so i wont bother carpeting until that goes in.

anyway over the last few weeks ive been gathering parts to do a full xr6 conversion. when i came across someone how does custom body kits for ef el and he does the typhoon style body kits with the xr6 lights and such, score!

i already have the kit and know just have to get the rest of the items for my conversion, none of the wreckers in my area have any xr6 stuff, so im restricted to e bay and trading post, and even know its hard to come by.

i hopefully get round to doing it over the next few weeks, as i don't have that much time on my hands these days.

on the list of things to do are

full kit fitted painted
air intake, sick of my bbq plate making my engine bay look crap
hi-flow cat
thinking of doing a interior upgrade, either messing around and finding a ba interior and getting it to fit, or im thinking of getting and el fairlane interior with the woodgrain and everything doing the complete swap, but for sure this wont be for a while.
a set of altezza clear tail lights
a decent cam

anyways keep an eye out for my build :D

There's a gold turbo EF or L for sale, then there's an earlier E series but IDK what's been done to it.

Not a hell of a lot...

Can't wait until I'm driving mine again..

Hi.

Not a bad looking car. I actually don't mind all the white in the interior. It will be interesting to see how well it wears.

And, yes, please ditch the monster tacho, it really is tacky.

Looking forward to pics of the body kit.

Cheers
BenJ

Check my build thread. I put an AU XR6 HP engine in my fairmont with the help of a mate. Unfortunately we had a crash in his mums car, rolled 3 times. Now he's not allowed around cars and there are a few things left to do that I'm out of my depth with. Should be done soon.
