No, BCM works either way.

Or do you mean the ECU?

i know i will need a manual ECU or will have to wire a 7k resistor into the engine loom..i just wasnt sure about the BCM...im considering a manual conversion...but only because the auto is running like dog s**t atm lol

hey guys, while my motor is out for the swap im going to service my auto, if i take the pan off and let all the oil run out, put the pan back on with new gasket and filter..will that be enough of a service? from memory i think there is about 6L of oil in the torque converter but i dont know how to flush that out? and how much will i need? my ef still has the dip stick and im not sure how much oil to add lol

yesterday i got my self a manual conversion :) it came with NO bolts at all...would any one know what type and size bolts i need to bolt the clutch assembely on? i think there are 6 for the fly wheel and more for the clutch plate and then more for the pink thing that goes over the clutch plate

hey guys, i attempted to remove the welch plugs in my new motor today and i cant seem to get the to budge :S, i tryed wacking them on the edge with a screw driver and hammer but no luck, i even tryed drilling a small hole in the middle and putting a screw in it and using the srew to pull it out with no luck....any ideas?

hey guys, just an update, i ripped the dash out today and installed the manual pedal box :). the falcoon is officialy going manual XD lol

another update, i managed to get the missing bolts for the flywheel and clutch assy, gonna replace the rear main seal, and bolt the flywheel and clutch on this week some time and drop the auto box from the car and start removing stuff off the motor ready for it to be ripped out :) everything will be going in this weeked and hopefully all will be up and running by sunday arvo :)

Don't forget to do the rear welsh plug while you have access to it.

And there is no such thing as a cheap turbo kit. If there was such a thing that was reliable and driveable, we would all have one already.

Troyman has dropped at least 10k into his cheap turbo kit.

did all welch plugs lastnight :) gonna prep my motor and box to be pulled tomorrow
i was thinking of maybe spending 5k on a turbo if thats possible....snort has there stage 1 turbo kit for $3000 plus postage, thought i could get a 2nd hand one with all piping and dump pipe for around 5K....considering snorts stuff dosnt come with everything needed

hey guys, just an update, i got the old motor and box out yesterday :)...next im gonna do the rear main seal..gotta wait to get my hands on a torque wrench so i can bolt up the flywheel bolts and clutch assy bolts...any tips on lining the clutch plate up properly?

rear main done, gearbox is on the motor...im buying my self a engine crane from super cheap auto for $200 on tuesday..i will be putting the motor in on thursday or friday...hoping i havnt lost any bolts or anything haha

spent all day bolting everything up and fired the coon up...had to sort out a few eletrical issues but other then that it fired up nice and easy and run really smooth considering it has only got extractors on and the ecu hasnt re lernt yet

update!

picking up a fairmont ghia tomorrow, gonna put the interior in my car, among other things. will take pics of it in the next few days :)

if any one wants some parts let me know :)
