Today, i saw his poly green ED and his work is coming along nicely and the BF is a nice ride too. I realised something though, Ford became tight a*** and only put the Ghia lamps (the ones that started with the 94 NF Fairlane and 94 DF LTD) in the front doors

Gas places are known for doing s**t house wiring Tony.
The stuff you have done looks way neater. The gas places do a rough job to punch a job out and do another. Actually Im not much better. Us professional wiring people have been known to be somewhat untidy....... Take note of what goes to where with te gas wiring and tidy it up yourself. You couldnt do any worse.

Based on that fact my Mum is the best around! |

Cheers for that Matt, Well they did such a bad job of the EF that they couldnt be bothered using the bonnet release cable hole, they HAD to use the clutch cable hole so when it comes time for the T5, im going to do a major tidy up and I will attempt that one pictured as soon as i get the AU back as that has actually come off a few times and shorted to the body Cheers again Matt May i ask aswell while im here, how is the boat coming along?

{USERNAME} wrote: lookin good any mags on it or still stock rims? well if the AU packs in due to something major happening to the engine or something related (transmission), i will be shoving the 15" prowlers onto Monti and the stockies and caps onto the AU until i end up getting it working properly as the trans is sorta f**k, 7 seconds to go from park to drive or reverse to drive or drive to reverse or any combo, including using the gears so im just waiting for it to pack in, once it does, ill just let it sit for a few weeks until i can be f**k to attempt to fix an AU in other words, no, as i am on a f**k tight a*** budget

The CSA Prowlers on the AU are actually E-series offset, we swapped some f**k nice 18" rims that actually went with the car for some crappy new 15" prowlers due to them hitting the guards (we should've just had them rolled). I have also had one of them on the front of the EF while the AU was giving us problems
Plus the AU was already nicely lowered when we got it but due to towing needs, got rid of the springs and shocks for some high as s**t shocks :'( Somehow i think it use to belong to a p-plater

That reminds me, IF the AU auto is on its last legs and goes into limp home mode, how hard would it be to change the useless piece of s**t to a manual? Its a standard 7/98 engine (me thinks its still the EL hybrid ) Inline 6
and can someone please upload a copy of their AU ECU pinouts? or are they the same as EL considering the car itself was made 8/98? EDIT: i just realised the EF EL ecu pinout excel file i have here has the AU there too so wont be needing that.

Hi all, just thought i would let all know that the s**t AU is working again, it ended up being from some dodgey wiring done before we got it that came loose. Once i get it back though, i will trace the wire and run a replacement, at least i know why it was chewing through fuel when on gas
and as for Monti, it will be left alone until i know the AU is working and running properly

That glory was shortlived. Called ultratune and they said that the actual problem is auto electrical so yeah

Well, This morning the AU got towed to the auto electricians (didnt want that to happen as it cost precious money that doesnt exist) and to top it off the sparky wont be able to get to it until thursday at the earliest so all work planned for the EF is postponed until the AU is back in our hands So thank god i didnt put my name down for this years AFD otherwise Monti would make a bad example of the EF Wagon with the amount of unfinished stuff i still have to finish off.
Apart from that, im considering getting the top half of an EF or EL XR (want opinions on which one) and the bottom half from a EF/L fairmont/fairlane/ltd and mould the two together. Should look good and then i can work out the cornering lamps scenario, might just even use them and wire them up as fog lamps and forget doing more complex wiring just for two cornering lamps. Apart from that, the weathers nice and gloomy here on the Central Coast with a current ambient temperature of 17.9 and the want to get out of this hell hole they call school and try to get the AU working myself so that i can finish off all jobs needed to be completed in the EF By the way, if someone can use this picture of the front of the wagon and photoshop it to have an EL XR Top half and an EF Fairmont/Fairlane/LTD bottom, that would be excellent as i dont really like using photoshop or anything like that. That is all for now........

Heritage Green, It is a GLi so pretty much stock as then. Dunno if this has been mentioned yet, but '02 was 8 years ago. Supposed current age of 14 means you got this car when you were 6. WTFs goin on? |
