Well yesterday i got a phone call from the sparkie down the road that had the AU, he said the battery was stuffed and the main power wire for the fuel pump was quite badly corroded He of course replaced it. So im gonna track down where its leaking through. He said that where the wire was corroded was under where the fuel filler is so im gonna check there first.
This morning though the tyres got warmed up a bit after the AU stalled (does it every morning on gas so you HAVE to keep your foot on the accelerator especially when braking) And as for Monti, i am going to leave it alone for a few weeks just until i know the AU is working properly

Wel, yesterday, the wagon lost one of its original hubcaps so i went and got 2 EL hubcaps and they look absolute s**t so Monti is going to get either some DL LTD rims (shiny chrome) or NF Fairlane Rims. What would look better? if someone can post some pics of both NF Fairlane and DL LTD rims, that would be handy.
Cheers

Today, while i had the day to do some things with a headache, i managed to paint the door moulds and it has been decided that Monti will be getting NF Fairlane Concorde Rims Plus the AU lecie antenna that i installed last night is working better, and its good to know the semi-auto antenna button works

Hi all, i am still alive if you didnt realise? lol, just been relying on my mobile (the good old Nokia N95 soon to be iPhone)
Well today both the AU and the EF were up at Ultratune Lakehaven, the EF For its normal 10000KM service and the AU about the leaking auto trans. First the EF: Last week it recieved a new replacement Water pump as the old new one had already started to leak. Today alongside its 10000KM service it recieved all new gear for the Power steering (Power steering pump, hoses, literally everything all the way down to new washers). Now, time for the Cat (AU): It went up today alongside the EF so that we could finally figure out what was leaking and somehow either there is oil leaking from the back of the rocker cover or the Auto trans is finally on its last legs Now, onto the Modding side: So far i have transferred and modded the AU power antenna to fit inside an EF The EF will soon be recieving power windows and door map pockets. Reason for it recieving the map pockets also is due to lack of funds, i will be covering up the manual winder hole with a little trim-coloured cover and properly installing new door map pockets. Also since i last had the dash out, i somehow managed to mod the main cold air temp hose that goes from the intake to the gas mixer. I modded it by forgetting to put new zip ties in to hold it away from the belt thus causing it to rub up against the belt and slowly chewed away also then causing gas to run like s**t so i popped the bonnet, OH f**k!!!...... so $20 and 15 minutes later, i had 1.5 meters of new hose so i decided to run it along a new route, turn it around to go over the rocker cover, down inbetween the BBM (the inlet manifold for those who dont know) and then meeting the bottom of the intake pipe. Those who have gas will know what im talkiing about, the little silver air temp sensor type thingo thats bolted onto the actual snorkel. Piccies to come tomorrow Anyway, thats enough from me for now.... lol so now i have a massive job ahead of me especially for the power windows and i have postponed getting the rims for now, just wanna lower the bloody thing as it sits way too high

Oil can come from the rear main seal matey. $40 from REPCO. Have to remove your box and bellhousing, but there it is...

Killing those auto's is hard work man. Much easier to kill a T5
You could drain most of the fluid out of it, drive it really hard for 200km doing all sorts of burnouts, drifting (ie - Hold it in first or second and go on and off the gas pedal a lot) and then do a few fast hill climbs whilst towing a car trailer full of builders mix.... Then put the fluid back in and park it in the driveway. Even then it'd probably be "fine" and no one would notice it was on the way out for another hundred thousand klicks. |

LOL....
I could always drain all of the fluids like you said, and go down the freeway and "accidentally" throw it into park The auto has always been quite f**k ever since we got the bloody thing anyway.... Had really nice 18" rims and lowered front and back and sat nicely.... then the parents came along and got heavy duty springs and shocks in the back which made it sit as high as mount Aoraki and ever since i have hated the car cause of how crap the ride was....
