Hi all, Thought Il'd make a build thread of my Series 2 EF Falcon GLi Wagon. I'll introduce it as it was when my parents got it in Feb 2002. Heritage Green, It is a GLi so pretty much stock as then.
Now since 1st March, the car currently has all fairlane lights installed (back doors still dont have the lights yet as i have not had time to do them), Fairmont Ghia cluster with the oil pressure sensor (not sender) installed, EL indicators, all Chrome interior accessories which will hopefully be installed by the end of month, fog lamps, el futura dash clock, body coloured brake ducts, LPG (yes, i know but at least i dont have the mandatory 6ft-high rear), and a range of other stuff i cbf to think of. Will Upload Pics of it when the weather gets better

Nice wagon mate.
AFAIK it isn't necessary to remove the heater box when doing a climate control conversion. All oyu need to do it swap over the vacuum pack, fan controller box, etc. And all of this can be done with the heater box bolted onto the firewall and the dash out.\ 'Cos it really is a b**ch getting access to the bolts and removing them with the engine still in the car..

Yeah, For sure and will be taking pics of the climate control conversion install. I have also taken out the old floor loom and am going to lay down a fairmont floor loom so that i dont have to pull the carpet up again for power windows, and the dash loom will also be fairmont. So in other words i will have a trip computer, climate control, power window looms already there, but the T5 manual wont be for a couple of years at least until the auto goes.
Cheers. EDIT: and does anyone have a 3-slot grey ef demist/lecie aerial/rear wiper surround? i only have a two-piece and when i do the dash loom conversion, i wish to have all those buttons

Those 3 hole surrounds are quite rare. They only were available in EF/EL Fairmont Wagons, so finding one is usually just luck.
Cheers BenJ

BenJ: i had a thought, i'll try my luck and get a 2 hole one, drill 4 holes, one in each corner and then cut it out carefully. As for getting the electric aerial itself, i may just get one a motor from the wreckers then just buy a new mast unless someone wants to part with their old semi-automatic aerial....
Cheers

The button unscrews.
It is very tight, and you may need to use some multi grips and a piece of cloth to get it moving. Cheers BenJ

Cool, that would explain why some cars at the wreckers have the buttons on an angle.
Cheers. Tony
