Looks great mate. Can you remember which pins you had to use off the top of your head?

Sorry if it's a stupid question, but which pins are you referring to?

Oh gotcha.

There are three plugs on the underside of the seat. We traced them back and only one of the plugs actually went to the motors. In that plug there were four wires, of those four one was black and one was red (if I remember correctly, they were also a little thicker than the other two).
These two are the negative and positive that you need. It was so much simpler than I thought it would be.

Go for it then!

I browsed eBay one day when I thought of it and found the whole set of fronts and rears for $350 in perfect condition!

From what we've done so far though, the front seats are a lot easier than the back.

Just thought I'd post some close ups of the modified brackets.

Pretty much all of the brackets needed to have the bolt holes widened a bit with a drill.

The main modifications were that the bracket on the rear left had to be completely cut off and a straight piece of steel was bolted there instead.
The bracket on the front right was just cut off, moved a little bit further in then bolted back on again.

All of the brackets are where they need to be, but it just needs to be welded for it to be up to scratch.

Yeah it's something I'm definitely thinking about doing in the future, depending how long I have the car I guess. How much work is involved for the rear seats? Mine's a sedan though so I dunno how different it'd be.

The rear seats have been quite tricky so far. I got my seats out of a sedan so they were quite different to my wagon, the pins that lock the seats in were in completely different spots.
We had to take the covers and foam off the BF seats and wrap that around the original frame. It's taking quite a bit of time but it'll be worth it.
The next issue we had was that the location of the button that unlocks the seats is completely different, so we had to grind off the original button mount and then bolt on the new one to the old frame.

When you have a look at the seats, the most important things are the placement of locking pins and the hinges at the bottom.

It's definitely doable, as long as you have the patience and really think about it.

No updates on the back seats as of yet, been a bit busy with work among other things.
Did manage to get the front passenger seat installed last weekend though.

I'll post on here as soon as I've made any progress with the back seats.

Update!

It's been a while since I've posted, it's been super slow work on the rear seats.

I don't have many pictures of the work we've actually done.

We've basically had to take the brackets off the old frames and weld them to the new frames. Just waiting on a day off work now to actually get one half finished and installed.

I also got bored the other day and decided to black out my taillights with Niteshades, was surprisingly quick and easy.
