Alright guy's,
The plan is to build a boosted 351W. This will be a budget build as i want to this finished and not merely sitting around and turning into a bottomless pit. The bottom-end is close to being sorted, with Probe Forged dish tops, stock rods with ARP bolts and stock crank. The boost will be coming from 2 x Precision turbo's sourced from the states.. Two of the pistons are in terrible condition, seems as though some horrific detonation was occurring on cylinder #8 and some excess wear on #6.
Bores have no excessive wear and are still smooth, but this isn't really problem as they will be over bored to 0.030". You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Are they Precision T3/4 hybrids ?? If they are they are capable of of over 600 h.p each..
Mine have .63 turbine housing, internal gated .. To keep it compact.. Internal gates work well with twins..

I agree with keeping in compact and internal gate as theres not much room for a twin turbo setup in a EF/EL engine bay hence why i think single is the best go and abit cheaper as well.
I can sell u my manifolds which are mild steal and not crappy 304 stainless which WILL crack and u can use them in ur twin setup or ditch the twin and go single and get urself a S400 for about $1000.00 landed put i prefer S400sx. http://www.turbodaves.com/Products.html

they are t3/t4 hybrids, external gate and can support 680hp a piece.
I'm going to stay with the twin set up, i've debated single over twin, and i'm going to stick with twin as i've come this far.

budget on the engine itself is $5k running + $ engine builder cost.
spent so far: - EFI 351w short motor - $795 - Probe forged pistons - $706 - ARP head stud kit - $180 - Edelbrock 351w lower intake - $300 - Edelbrock elite rocker covers - $110 - Cometic MLS head gaskets - $58 Budget for turbo set-up is 6k: - 2 x Precision t3/t4 680hp turbo's - $2770 ( including flanges etc ) from US - Turbo manifolds - $220

Hi Tom,
Ive noticed the prices u put in ur post and u got everything at an alright price but can do better and sometimes its best to buy everything at once and get a really good deal especially if u buy from the US. VPW & highperformance world are great to deal with and good prices and can haggle now as no 1 is buying anything. Save urself money and sell off the turbo's u have and advertise them on www.caliasturbo.com.au as the VL boys would buy this sort of turbo. Buy a turbo off turbodave where i posted the link and buy a wastegate from here or him and get mine or similar manifolds to mine and do the single setup as its cheaper and way more simple in the engine bay and easier to setup. Then use the money saved from going single and put it towards ur engine as 5k for an engine aint much at all. Just my advise to save u money and headaches as ur budget for turbo setup will go over due to stainless manifold which will crack, also paying for 2 dumb pipes, 2 wastegates, 2 sets of oil & water lines for turbo & fittings plsu extra engine bay pluming. Just a different point of view so dont take it the wrong way dude

No worries mate, i appreciate the advice, and will look into it closely.
On the " to Buy list": Bottom - end: - 351w sump and pick up - high volume oil pump - bottom-end bearings and gaskets - EF/EL timing cover and water pump - Crane 2031 cam - Rollmaster timing chain set - ARP con rod bolts - Piston rings. Top end: - GT40P heads ( for now ) - Roller rockers - pushrods - Lifters - Upper intake - Edelbrock RPM or performer That's about all i can remember for now. I was rummaging through the shed this afternoon and found a Powerbond race series engine damper ( part no. PB1060-SS Ford 302, 351 windsor 4 bolt ( raised pulley location ) 28 OZ imbalance ) Will this work with my 351w? I'm going to give Leon a call at A1 Hi-performance this afternoon to talk about machining the block, see what he has to say.

Good combo.. Similar to mine..
Head studs is good idea.. Aim for 8.5 or higher compression and you'll be fine with good tune, with bigger ring end gap.. Depending on rear housing a wastegate can be fitted by drilling the turbine housing... Twins V single as far as fab work ?? There isn't much in it as you still have to run crossover exhaust pipe etc... I highly doubt a Borgy will fit as one big lump ???
