started building my efxr8 around ten years ago in which time i have modified every part of the car although it looks stock as a rock ( street sleeper ) started with a bare 302 block which was machined and balanced to fit a lunati 347 crank rods and piston set. has a crane hydraulic roller cam with specs im unsure of but will post them when i find out :?: . crane hydraulic roller lifters crane hardened push rods. the two bolt caps have been machined down into the block for strength and supports a stud girdle for added strength.high energy sump has full arp bolts also invested in aluminium airflow reaserch heads that are cnc ported for better flow. it has an r series trickflow manifold which i got stuck int the painted rough aluminium surface and polished up my self. has an aussie desert cooler radiator that not only keeps it cooler but looks killer under there it has a 65mm holley throttle body and standard fuel pump with 64lb injectors. the bell housing has been made using a windsor front for the motor and is welded to a cleveland back to support the full race c4 built by sa race trans and diff specialist. have just got it back from having a full race 9 inch with 4.11 gearing which im yet to take out ( needs to be registered first) also built by sam of sa race. all tuning and mods done by boostn oz in salisbury east. both places i would recomend to any one wanting to waste thousands on their cars as the work done is awesome. want to run it soon down the track and will post its times when done. :D as you will see the dyno shows how fierce it makes power and that was with 3.45 gears. need to run in the new diff before its on there again.

will get the exact figures for you but im told its well over 650nm. have to take it in for a re tune in around 3 weeks so will get the full figures for you. but man it pulls hard ran it on a g tech meter a few years back before some other mods that took it to 257rwkw and it ran 13.10 at 115mph with about 150 metres of braking traction and was still accelerating after 400m. sounds like s**t but it goes very hard just needs to hook up

Very nice build. How long before you get it down the strip?

One thing that gets me though, what's up with the cam? Why secret specs? Is it off the shelf? I've got a custom cam coming for my 347 and if anyone ever wants the specs, I'll be happy to share as it's designed for my exact combo...

yeah to be honest i dont know them but if your interested i can get the cam card off sam at sa race. he has those specs as the whole engine was built around the cam specs as was the c4 to get the right stall converter dominator needed the card for building it and it has stayed in my file at sa race.the cam is a crane hydraulic roller off the shelf. let me know if you want the specs. also with my car it runs a standard fuel system only thing different is 64lb bosch injectors. at the time of doing my post it was all i could think of putting down the engine was built about 6 years ago ( i should get the card back). what else have you done to your motor dude sounds like you have done a bit of work to it? i have heard they might have a race meet at adelaide towards the end of the year. i need to run in the 9" and looking to get some convo pro wheels and race tyres to help launch it. if not will take it to Whyalla or mildura ( cant wait )

updated my profile so its not misleading  anyone who wants any info i will be happy to hunt down for them. when i built my engine the only thing i knew about cars was i wanted it to to go very fast and if i knew how much that was going to cost me would have kept my ED.

No worries dude looks like a sweet XR, I had a mate that knew nothing about cars , he had a ZC Fairlane with a shaker and ordered a cam based on the fact he wanted the shaker to shake at idle! He had no idea about specs but was happy as the shaker rocked nicely due to a choppy idle!

It's always good to see what cam people are using, to what effect. I wasn't having a go at you, I just find it strange how secretive some people can be when it comes to cams. Fair enough if you race in some form of competition, but for those of us on the street, it seems a bit silly. That's just my opinion, though.

Those are some mighty big injectors. Did you have plans for boost at the time of building it?

How long have you had the 9" in?

I have a build thread in here titled "302 Top End Rebuild". I'm in the process of updating it at the moment, as I haven't done so for nearly a couple of years.
