{USERNAME} wrote: Awesome power there man, that's a wicked result with an auto! Sounds good too Yea I was very surprised, I was like "Well it's home tuned and an auto.. so i'll be happy with 150rwkw" then after the run the guy said "224rwhp", "That's like almost 170rwkw?", "Yea". {USERNAME} wrote: Well then, you know its got more in it if you're after the peak number ;P Oh man.. I really wonder what it's capable of.. even if it had a fully rebuilt bottom end In other news, I'm giving the XR6 a full service, from the engine to diff oil. Also gave it a detail and took some decent photos. Too bad I can't drive it otherwise I'd be getting some scenic photos rather than driveway shots.. |

The garnish ( ghia is it? ) looks really good against the dark paint, amazing what a little chrome can do!

Attachment: 20130515_223634.jpg Best time of the night. It really really needs a high stall and diff gears. You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post. |

Not a bad effort! That's better than my efforts lol. Slightly higher stall and short diff gears would drop this thing straight into the 14's without a doubt.
I dropped quite a few tenths just moving up to a 3.45 from a 3.23 ratio'd diff. Dropping the 60' time makes a considerable difference to the time at the end. |

What sort of weight do you have in the car? Should be pulling quicker times than that

Found meself in a video, lol http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zGzrgUA4Wg0 right behind this mental twin turbo gemini. Felt a bit awkward coming out right after that

Thanks Nathan, A stall and gears is necessary.. The car taking off is terrible, then suddenly it just hauls... but I need it to haul from the get go. Also 3rd isnt even finishing by the end of the track so It's just wasting torque {USERNAME} wrote: What sort of weight do you have in the car? Should be pulling quicker times than that It's a full weight ghia, half a tank of fuel, minus the spare wheel, with a few tools in the boot on 18inch wheels.. I was really expecting to crack a 14 or at least come really close. {USERNAME} wrote: manual later |

So I decided to swap the wheels from the XR6 to the Ghia..
Was really overcast so there's no bling factor like it usually has. I really don't know if it works.. they look great on the XR6.. I think it needs a tickford kit to work. |

Manual conversion in the next 5 weeks
Got the whole conversion kit and a spare box for 500 bux. What. A. Score. New Exedy HD clutch and Malwood clutch pedal pin are on the way. Going to get the flywheel ground too, and the T5's are at a transmission joint being inspected and one will be rebuilt, so I will only have to put the box in once and not worry about anything. edit: progress! |
