Yeah the pistons have small reliefs cut on the intake side.

The block surface is all sealed up for now, and it's up on the engine stand to get some gloss black paint and bits put on.

Will probably port the intake manifold and get the headers painted black.

Also would anyone know what the weak points are that stop the i6 from revving? I think I remember reading the rocker gear can't really cope more than 6000 before getting into danger territory.

Sorry guys, lately I've just slowly been acquiring $$$, I'm buying a pushbike to try and save some money on petrol and eliminate short driving trips, which is about 60% of my driving.

Paul, send me a pm if you ever want something, I have free reign of the workshop after hours and could make stuff on the cheap.

Here's an update for ya ;)

My car started to vibrate slightly the last month or so, then suddenly it got really bad over about 3 days, turns out my front bearings had completely munched themselves.

Ouch! Something easily forgotten in a falcon.

So I bought a new rig.. So I have something to drive while tearing the ghia to bits.

Mazda MX-6, has 4 wheel steering and a 2.5L V6, goes pretty hard.

Such a sweet engine combo.
Nothing crazy but so willing to rev out.

Can't wait to see how the new engine goes.

I enjoyed my drive the other week.
Really makes me want to cam up mine again, but I also prefer fuel savings. haha
