Well time for another substantial update.

I scoured the earth for a new car, and happen to find a low KM, rust free, immaculate EL Ghia identical to mine.. in Melbourne. So I flew to Melbourne, bought it, then drove it 3700km across the Nullarbor back home.

After washing all the bugs off of it.


Detailed the engine bay.


Immaculate interior.


Even these things aren't completely shot to s**t.






After I sort out this stupid engine in my old ghia, I'm likely going to sell it at the end of the year.

i have an el ghia too, in Melbourne, in the same colour.. my question is would you be parting anything from your other EL by any chance? i kinda think i need a respray but sort of cant afford it at the moment and the paint on mine isn't too bad, maybe a polish +buff will bring it up, but if you're going to part out your other car, i might do with some panels, engine parts etc

I'll just leave some photos of the new one, I'm not sure I'll make a build thread for it.
