Gday everyone

I've been on Fordmods for a few months now. I came here to see what is possible with these falcons.

I bought a dual fuel EL GLi to drive so I could finally get my long awaited licence.

It looked something like this:

I wanted to get onto modding it and making it "mine". But I had a change of mind where I hated the fact that it was white and was only a base model.. :\ So I sold it and went without a car for just over a month, until I came across a sparkling burgundy Ghia. It was cheaper than what I sold my GLi for which was great. The paint has always had a coat of wax etc. as it still looks really shiny which is AWESOME.

When I bought it:

And just today I scored a whole set of 5 near new wheels and tyres for 600 dollars + swap Ghia wheels from my 2nd uncle.

As of this afternoon:

I'll be putting any other mods/progress here so stay tuned!

The List:
Slotted rotors all round
Lower/Harder suspension + sway bars
Aftermarket speakers (my sub is in pieces already & I've only had the car for 2 weeks LOL)
NL cornering lamps
Some original interior designing ;)

Cheers

Looking good mate, nice car and nice work with the BBM.

Be sure to get some better pics of the car up. When you have a Ghia you are obligated to show the interior too. :D

I love the wheels too.

Looks mint as mate!! Love the paint, looks like it's in great condition 8-)

Superlow springs and some decent shocks all round and it'll be perfect

Interior photos:

Everything is in pretty good condition.

95% of the leather is still pretty much perfect.

Some sticker/badge was stuck on and ripped off at some point. The remnants are almost f**k impossible to get rid of..

What a fantastic interior! So clean! I'm very jealous. I'm on the hunt for some nice leather seats and woodgrain trims for my Futura. It's got really clean seats but I really want to make the upgrade to leather.

Nice Car! :)

This Ghia is Stunning!! Paint is gorgeous, Interior is perfect. I am gelous! I hope one day my ghia will be just as good.
Please don't wreck her with cheap C*** P plater type mods. It would be such a waste.
All the best with her! :)

So shiny...

The interior looks factory fresh.

Is that stuff on the dash some some sort of glue? Try using eucalyptus oil. Sounds crazy, I know but, it does work.

Nice interior! Cappa leather is great (I might be a little biased though)

There's this stuff you can get from Bunnings called "oopmh!" It's a citrus cleaner. It's gets some seriously sticky crap off. It would be worth a shot, but I'd test it somewhere first to see it doesn't stuff the colour of the vynil.

+1 Works a charm on pinstriping too.
Just wipe it off after the glue is gone.
