Well cutting destroys the spring rate, when u cut lowered springs especially. http://autospeed.com.au/cms/title_Reset ... ticle.html is the most effective way without compromising the spring rate, a cut spring will not sit properly in its seat, forever trying to lean to one side, wreaking ride quality, handling and comfort. Resetting is the way |

{USERNAME} wrote: Okay guys, for a long time I've wanted to re trim the interior. I want that stock sporty with a bit of class factory look so I was thinking of the following: - EL Fairmont Ghia door trims Front: Bottom half for courtesy light Rear: Whole door trim (no wood grain) This means the rear windows will be converted to electric. - New carpet including on the door trims. - Door trim material in grey leather what will be crinkled or what ever you want to call it. - Standard seats re trimmed in leather. - Custom Tickford floor mats off eBay. Feel free to suggest anything In the next week I will be calling the following for quotes: - C & N trimming in Sunshine - Autoimage in Thomastown Any other trimmers recommended? hey mate i think u should keep the inside stock thexr trim is nice and suits the car but if u want to change go on carsales have a look at the black el xr6 in victoria and have a look wat he has done with his interior looks good......also sent u a pm the other day not sure if u have checked it yet?? cheers |

I also haven't seen many e series with a nice clean interior apart from jet xr and the el fairmont ghia trim which is standard anyways. I'll look at that el on carsales now, thanks man.

I won some brand new king springs on eBay for $150
Front model (KFFL-26SSL) Rear model (KFRL-27SSL) Correct me if I'm wrong but these are ultralows right? Well thats what king springs website states it is by the model code. If all goes to plan I'll pick them up on friday and lower it Saturday morning at work and give her an oil change

So I lowered my car today, found out I had near new Monroe GT rear shockers and Urethane bushes so that's pretty cool
Sprayed up the discs and calipers in silver too btw and put some lock nuts on front = KFFL-26SSL + standard struts rear = KFRL-27SSL + Monroe GT shockers they still need to settle but the ride is better than I expected.
