Ride: EL XR8 363 stroker

Power: 260 rwkw

Hello, Its been long over due so I thought I'd post up my own build thread!
It started about 3 years ago, I'd saved up a decent ammount of cash and was on the look for my childhood dream car. Armed with carsales I hunted for a blue EL XR8 5 speed manual with the tickford kit. Not to long after searching I found the car I wanted! It had 200000ks mint condition with extractors and single 2.5in exhaust, it also came with a set of FR17 simmons rims :D .

After I bought the car I started to dream up what I wanted to do with it. I decied to do a topend rebuild. So I bought a topend off a fellow modder witch consisted of Edelbrock RPM 2, comp cams xe282hr, 1.7 trickflow roller rockers and world sportsman heads. but after having realised the heads were to big for my baby 302 windsor i decieded to do a stroker build.

I started to do some research on stroker kits and decided if i was going to spend the money I'd do it properly, so i bought a dart shp 363ci short block. Then I sold my RPM2, cam and rockers.
I then looked at a new manifold and decided on the Trickflow Rseries 90mm bore, a comp cams XFI 248hr, comp 1.6 roller rockers and an accufab 85mm throttle body.

:engine:
Dart 363ci bottom end
Custom fabricated sump
Hi volume oil pump
Pionner harmonic balancer
New water pump
Roller master timing chain
world Sportsman ported heads flow tested to 660hp@ 600tho of lift
Comp Cams XFI 248hr stroker cam
Trickflow hydraulic roller lifters
Titanium push rods
Comp Cams 1.6 roller rockers
Ford racing rocker covers
Trickflow Rseries 90mm bore intake manifold
Accufab 85mm throttle body
90mm lightning MAF
42lb injectors
SCT switch chip
BBK hi flow fuel rails
malpassi fuel presure regulator
screaming deamon coil, TFI modual and 10mm leads
MSD ignition cap

Drivetrain:
Spec twinplate organic clutch and billet aluminnum flywheel
Gforce T5 with billet case and upgraded main shaft
Billet short shifter
Fully rebuilt diff

Exhaust:
Diffilpo 4 into 1 1.7/8in custom extractors 3in collectors
Duel 3in cats
Custom duel 3in ehaust x piped with xforce mufflers then duel 2.5in up and over the diff

Should be getting the car back in the next 2 weeks form CMS

Chers Matt

Gorgeous car mate, can't wait to what sort of numbers this baby reels off. Are you heading towards the supercharging path? Or keeping her N/A? This is going to be an epic build thread

thanks DarkELxr6! I'm planing on keeping it N/A for the time being as it has 10.5.1 comp. It should put down some decent power! Supercharging  who knows what the futer holds.

WOW.....just WOW

Awesome car and awesome build. Cant wait to see it when its all put together. I would love to do a 363 build in an EL or AU3 XR8 in the future!!

10.5:1 comp would be perfect with a an intercooled vortech down the track too

I didn't know Diffilpo did 4 into 1 1.7/8in extractors, the pair I had were 1.3/4in

Good looking car, will be watching this for sure!

Its a similar set up to mine. Difillipo supplied the pipes as 1 7/8 as a kit, it is then assembled at this end.
