Hey guys. Put the new injectors in. It drove ok for a while and then it detonated on plug 3 again. This time it just closed the plug no scratch marks at all.

It had a the microtech hand held thing. I don't understand much on it but it said A/F = 19.

Anyway I would love to come tonight but I have plans with the family and the car is still playing. Will come next year after I organise the tune.

So the weekend wasnt as productive as i wanted it to be in regards to working on the car.

raised the front by putting the King Spring Lows in it. I dont mind the way it sits now with the super lows in the back and the lows in front. Main thing is that i have gearbox clearance and it looks stock which i like.

some things may come up in the new year on a personal front which would mean i MAY have to sell the car as i would need a car to drive around in all day.

if the siutation does arise where i would have to sell it i would be looking at a B series XR6/8/turbo/ghia. not really fussed as long as its clean.

anyway for now i will be getting the ED tuned and running right, would want to atleast take it for a run down the quarter too!

here is a really low resolution picture of the ed with super lows in the back and lwos in the front... exciting i know...

Called BTA Motorsport in Sydney and they seemed like they knew what they were talking about in regards to tuning.

http://www.btamotorsports.com.au/

Anyone reading this had any experience with them?

There are much more competent tuners out there and hitman is one of them but croydon autosports gets a tick from me with turbo cars...

Ok so a bit of an update on my end.

I drove it around a bit last week and noticed there was an oil leak on the drive way after driving, only small... Had a look under the car and im 90% sure its coming from the head...
Looks like my great efforts of replacing the head gasket were a fail! I have given up and decided that i will get some one to check it out, fix the leak and do the tune all at once.

I contacted HITMAN, it was very nice of him to get back to me while he was on holidays still, but he said he doesnt like dealing with Fords for this type of work.

So i am going in to see BTA motosport this Saturday to suss them out and see what they are capable of.

In the mean time i purchased an old Ford Courier ute to get me around for work until i work out what to do with the ED. It has air con which is great but squeaky suspension and no power steering :(

So i went to BTA motorports on Saturday. What a waist of my morning.

One of the guys i spoke with on the phone said he wll be there from 11 on.

I get there at 11.30, the work shop looks pretty good with a few F6's, a Ferrari and a Porcshe sitting in there, along with a blown VT that was incredible. But i look around and there are kids working in the shop, with a few 'grown ups' walking around in thongs, smoking and having a laugh. (ok it was a Saturday but if your open for trading then id expect them to be a little bit more appropriate)

Anyway one of the 'grown up's' spoke with the guy i had dealt with over the phone and said he will be in with in 15min. So i went for a walk to Pickles auction which is across the road, got back and an hour later this guy rocks up. He goes straight to the back of the shop and starts working on a Supra.

So i walk up to him and tell him im waiting for him, he says 'give me 5 min'. 30 min later this guy is still working on the Supra and casually talking to people. while everyone else ignored that we were there and were doing their own thing while i stood and waited in the workshop.

Long story short, I got the s**t and left. i wasnt too happy with the people actually working on the cars, and if the service was like this from now then FORGET IT.

I will be contacting Autotech during the week to see what they can do...

ive been to a few places like that, i ended up just walking out and going elsewhere..

i must say, other then being a bit expensive autotech would be one of the most profesional workshops ive been to, there customer service is good, he was willing to sit down and go through whats done to the engine to get an idea on what needs to be done and what they would expect power wise..

the only reason i didnt go there was because they were booked out for over a month in advance at the time..
